Senior lady here that assembled this filter system with no problems. I had an appropriate wrench that fit bolt size & I was able to tighten it on the faucet otherwise I wasn't able to tighten it enough with my bare fingers. No mention in pamphlet on how high I should keep the water level in glass tank. I called a Canadian friend that has the same system & he said keep it pretty full otherwise the filter could dry out. I attached photo of what level I'm happy with. When I was prepping the filter by rinsing it per instructions, I had a small glass that I would put the filter into to drain. When the water was no longer milky white I felt that was good enough. Yes, the water was blackish at first to clear out the carbon. I'm actually using up purchased bottled purified water by filtering it in the SANTEVIA. Why? To filter out any plastics or ??? Love the mineral taste! I put the unit on a plastic tray to move it out from under the kitchen cabinets when I need to refresh the water level. I didn't like the feet of the stand grinding on my granite counters. Delivery was speedy and I ordered the replacement filters as well. Very happy I'm no longer needing to buy water in bottles & then recycling them to get the deposits back! Read more

The media could not be loaded. Love this water filter, after researching so many this one was the only one I found that filtered out fluoride, alkalized the water, filtered PFAs/PFOs and added minerals. Water tastes great and love knowing my water is nourishing and healthy rather than full of damaging chemicals. Read more

It's a little bigger than I was expecting but I found a good place for it on my counter. I'm amazed at how much better the water tastes. Better than the filtered water from my fridge dispenser. I originally bought this filter because l've struggled with acid reflux/heartburn for years. In a conversation with a friend while complaining about my stomach issues, they mentioned that alkaline mineral water has a higher pH than regular tap water and drinking it can help neutralize excess stomach acid. I figured heck, maybe I’d save some money from not having to buy so much tums, and it was worth a try. First of all this filter is beautiful. The glass design makes it look super clean and modern on my counter, and I am a big fan of bamboo so it matches a lot of other things in my house. I prefer room temp water, so l keep mine out, but I tested it and it does fit in my fridge. It is on the larger side, so depending on your fridge space, that's something to consider. Installation was really easy! I followed the directions provided in the box, and watched the installation video from the Amazon listing. When I first started using this filter, the water definitely tasted like rocks (which makes sense because it's adding minerals 😂). But after a little while the taste mellowed out and now it tastes very smooth and soft! Like how I imagine a cloud would taste. It's very delicious and easy to drink. Regarding my original reason for purchasing this filter, to help with stomach acid issues, I'm not saying it's a medical cure, but for me personally I haven't had acid reflux or heartburn since switching to this water. That alone gives it 5 stars for me! I’ve had to cut a lot of my favorite foods out of my diet due to stomach acid issues. Since using this filter, I've slowly been reintroducing some of those foods and so far, no problems. It honestly feels life changing. I'm incredibly grateful! If you struggle with acid reflux or heartburn, this might be something worth trying. Everyone's body is different so I don’t want to say it will work for everyone, but for me it’s been a total game changer.
