This cardigan is one of the softest ones I own. There are a lot of really nice features on this sweater- the puff sleeves elevate this for me to the next level, the stitching is cute, and I love the buttons. This can be worn on its own or over another shirt. It is also work appropriate. I am normally a size 10 and ordered a large but I would have preferred a medium. SIZING & FIT I am 5'8" tall, weigh 128 lbs., and have an average to athletic build. My current measurements are bust 35 inches, waist 27 inches, and hips 35 inches, with a bra size of 36D. While the small was an acceptable fit for me, I could have also worn a medium. If you have a larger bust or carry weight in your midsection, the buttons may gap in the smaller size. The sleeves of this cardigan reach my wrists, and the hem falls about 2.5 inches below my belly button. This cardigan is not form-fitting, but I would not describe it as loose or loose-fit as the description does. The neck was also a little looser than I expected for a crew neck. MATERIAL & FEATURES The blue is as beautiful in person as it does on the computer screen. It is not see-through. The fabric is light to medium weight. The ribbed detailing on the collar, hem, and placket looks nice—however, I am not a fan of how high the ribbing extends on the sleeves. It looked subtle in the product photos, but in person—and especially on me—it stands out more and creates a different overall look than I expected. I find some parts of the material a bit itchy, though I suspect that is due to my own skin sensitivity and not a reason to discourage others from trying it. The pearl buttons are a nice look and fasten fine. They offer the flexibility to adjust the look and modesty of the cardigan. OVERVIEW I knew this cardigan had exposed seams when I ordered it, but I am just not a fan of the trend. That said, it could work well for settings like work, church, or casual outings. Personally, I would not choose it for dressier occasions because of the seams—but others certainly might. While this cardigan was not quite the right match for me, I would not discourage someone from giving it a try—especially if the exposed seams, sleeve details, or other design elements are part of a style they enjoy.
