Based on the picture in the listing, I was expecting a thick, luxurious, soft-yet-chunky, off-the-shoulder sweater that would make me feel like a Hamptons girlie at a winter soiree. Alas, the reality was not quite there. Things to note: 1. It is definitely not off-the-shoulder. I'd describe this as not-quite boat neck. There is really no way to pull it off the shoulder without it looking like you took a regular sweater and yanked open the neck, lol. In fact, the neck is *just* wide enough to make it awkward to wear a regular bra, which is the worst of both worlds. 2. It is significantly thinner than expected, and actually see-through in parts. You can't really wear a shirt underneath since (as established) the neckline is weird, so the see-through factor is a problem for me. 3. The fabric is strange; it's soft, but not luxuriously so, and the look is not what I was hoping for; it almost looks like the whole thing was intentionally pre-pilled? I guess that means that if it pills more, you won't be able to tell, but I'd rather have it NOT be pilled. Maybe you like that sort of rugged look to the fabric and you'll love this! 4. The khaki color is darker than depicted in the photo; I actually don't mind the real color, but you should know that if you were hoping for the lighter color that's shown. 5. Obviously this isn't a super expensive sweater, so I managed my expectations accordingly, but I know you work hard for your money so I want to make sure you're making an informed choice! This sweater is really cute and it’s very soft. The cozy oversized fit and long sleeves are perfect for sweater weather. Size is accurate. My only concern is the material...I noticed a small snag right out of the bag, and I can see more happening over time, so it might not hold up perfectly long-term. Overall great value. Read more
