I’m always on the look out for a quality high end cardigan to pair with dresses, skirts, or business wear, and this one is great for work, dates, and can dress up outfits for many occasions. The first thing I noticed was how soft the sweater was, it feels like cashmere. I really like the distinct style of the split hem, the drop shoulder is comfortable, and the sleeves are loose fitting, with my long arms the . I found that the XL fit me perfectly, as I double checked the sizing for layering it over a blouse. The material is thicker than I expected and was comfortable to wear in the early cooler summer morning, but I did notice it got a little too hot to wear in the afternoon. Handwashing is recommended, but I chose the option to machine wash in a laundry bag, and it still retained its shape as I laid it out to flat dry. It will be a great addition to a fall, winter, and spring wardrobe. While the cardigan is available in many colors, I chose black. The only thing I wasn’t expecting was the wrapped elastic buttons and the rick-rack on the back of the elastic was white. This feature does not show up in the pictures of the black sweater and I thought it would be black elastic. When wearing and moving around you definitely notice the white elastic around the buttons, and detracts quite a bit from its appearance in my opinion. I took two stars off, due to this feature as it wasn’t what I expected and limits the layering to white shirts and they don’t show that as a feature in the photos. Read more

I ordered this for my wife in small - she usually wears small - and it was a bit big for her. So we gave it to my daughter, and she likes it. Since it's simple and black, it has a classy look, and could be worn over a dressy outfit, or could be worn as an everyday item, like to keep warm in a movie theater or during Fall or Winter weather. The fabric feels soft, stretchy, and durable. Seems like it will last for a long time, and seems like a decent value. The one thing we didn't care for was the design decision to use white thread for the button holes - it stands out, and it doesn't look that way in the product images. However, my daughter is likely to wear the sweater open most or all of the time, so it probably won't matter much. Still, it's odd to have this all black sweater with black buttons and then a white string sewn on to make loops for the buttons. Overall, this is a pretty women's sweater. Recommend. Read more

This is a great cardigan! The material is almost like a lightweight wool. It is stiff, but somehow it is also still soft. The details on the button loop closures is so pretty, but I wish it looked more like the photo in the ORIGINAL product listing. At the time that I ordered this, the photos in the listing looked different than the ones in the listing today. The original listing made it look like a neat embroidered design was opart of the loop closure on the facing side. It is not. It's under the hem on the underside of the seam. That explains why some of the reviewers are puzzled by the white loop closure for the black sweater; however, this was why I chose it, because I have a few tanks/blouses that are black with white trim. This makes it look a little like a mistake. It is still a pretty sweater. Sleeves are a little large and hang a bit longer than I would like, but I'm 5 foot 1 and am used to sleeves being long. It feels heavy and thick which would work for chilly days in the fall and winter. I’m 5’7 and weigh about 190 and it fits short on the arms which I do not like. Also, I like how it sits and hugs my sides but if I buttoned it up it wouldn’t look so good but I don’t plan to button it up. Now, the part I dislike the most— I don’t understand why white elastic was used to for button loops. No!! Black elastic should have been used. If I wear this with a dark top or even if I decided to button it up, the white elastic will show. Nope nope nope. Definitely NOT as pictured!! At $36.99…if I would have paid that price for this I would have returned it. The sizing and short sleeves would probably work if you’re a bit petite but for me personally, I don’t like cardigans or sweaters with short sleeves. It makes it feel like my clothes shrank. Read more
