They work

Johnny BMarch 14, 2024

First off, if you want these in a hurry, buy them from another seller. I ordered these on 2/12 and they arrived on 3/13 after several shipping delays. One more day and I could have gotten my money back. They are shipped from Bakau, Gambia, wherever that is. Quality is fairly good, they work OK. Not all the halves were completely closed, so before you jam one of these into a cylindrical AA flashlight make sure it goes in easily, otherwise you may never get it out again. I might try converting one of these into a USB wired power unit, if that's successful I'll post an update. For the price they are pretty good, just not really great. Read more

Perfect for modifying battery power items

Blake SmithMarch 28, 2024

I purchased these to modify a battery powered device to run on corded power. The positive and negative terminals are connected with a wire. I was able to cut the wire and insert my cables to the terminals. now if I ever want the device to run on batteries I just simply remove these and reinsert batteries. Read more

Not useful

RJ SmithJuly 17, 2024

They are significantly smaller then a AA battery which makes them useless for what they are supposed to do. Look elsewhere. Read more

Wrong dimensions - does not fit AA battery holder

Anonymous guyNovember 2, 2024

I had to solder a brass nut to the end for it to be the correct dimension as a AA. It was not ideal, otherwise the concept is great. I think I'm actually being generous giving it two stars. I'm not sure what others have done who gave it high ratings. Read more

Tip positive is a bit short

RickajhoAugust 8, 2023

These do what they need to do: take up the space of a battery when you need to lower a voltage. The issue with them is the positive connection is shallow so it doesn't make contact in some battery boxes. You will need to resort to some kind of filler to bridge the gap between the dummy positive and whatever you are putting it into. Read more

Nice kit!

LongshortsJanuary 3, 2024

Went together well, I was pleased with the result. Soldering was done with leaded solder, not tin only. I am glad there was a video on assembly of this autotransformer on YouTube. Thank you again !! Read more

These work great. I found these from a reference on a YouTube video. Not all electronics work with Rechargeable batteries so I bought these to “fool” the device. Did the job Read more
