Easy and works great!

Works right out of the box! Plugged in the power supply, then plugged into the hard drive, and plug hard drive to my new desktop and voila! Works like a thumb drive, no need for additional software. Works well for both 2.5" and 3.5" drives, compatible with SATA SSD or old school HDD. Wish the power cord would be a tad longer, but that's just me being nit picky. Read more

Doesnt work with 3.5 size HDD, not recognized by PC, i suspect included external power supply not enough for 3.5 drive. . Works OK with 2.5" size. Read more

I needed a sata to USB to retrieve family pictures off several old hard drive's i had. I have both laptop and desk top hard drives to transfer pictures and video so i needed one with its own power supply to access the desktop hard drive. This worked exactly as i needed for both types.
