Works right out of the box! Plugged in the power supply, then plugged into the hard drive, and plug hard drive to my new desktop and voila! Works like a thumb drive, no need for additional software. Works well for both 2.5" and 3.5" drives, compatible with SATA SSD or old school HDD. Wish the power cord would be a tad longer, but that's just me being nit picky. Read more
Acts just like a USB drive on my hard drives from my old computer to rescue files to my new computer. Also, because it has it's own power supply there is no concern about putting pressure on the power supply within the new computer. Worked flawlessly. Happy happy. Plus and play. Read more
Worked fine. A longer UBS cable would be great, maybe 6'. Handy USB-A to USB-C adapter included. Cable thickness is fine, should hold up well, easy to use, didn't heat up, and the speed was acceptable (I was wiping and overwriting HDDs). Read more

Doesnt work with 3.5 size HDD, not recognized by PC, i suspect included external power supply not enough for 3.5 drive. . Works OK with 2.5" size. Read more
This one works great. Powered up my 4 terabytes desktop drive for me to use as external drive on my laptop. You must have an adapter with the external power supply for full size desktop drive to work, this one works great for good price. Iv ben using it for few weeks now, with no issues. Read more
I needed a sata to USB to retrieve family pictures off several old hard drive's i had. I have both laptop and desk top hard drives to transfer pictures and video so i needed one with its own power supply to access the desktop hard drive. This worked exactly as i needed for both types. Its fully plug and play no need to install anything to use it and the transfer speed was more than enough. I highly recomend if you are looking to access external hard drives especially for the price!! Read more
