This is a nice eye mask, but it is not totally light-blocking. I'm not sure the reason for the dual-coloration, as it seems to diminish its effectiveness. The mask is about 4 ft in length, lightweight, fairly comfortable, and -- if you believe the anecdotal reports -- the satin-esque fabric may help reduce facial wrinkles and hair fly-aways. There are no securing buttons, etc., however, so it is prone to migrate across the face when used for sleep. Therefore, I have stuck with wearing it during shorter naps.
