Really quality materials. Very sturdy. Really big piece. Comes to the top of my mattress so, it is super high. (I need a step to get up, myself.) Even the mattress at the top of the platform table is fabulous quality. The problem was the directions. 2-3 of the steps of construction, are completely missing. The needed pieces are in the inventory diagram, however.. and I had to undo and redo a few joints so everything got connected correctly. All in all, took me about 3 hours. (I'm not very good at these erector set pieces) But... Now that it's all together, I have to say, I think it's a fabulous idea. And well worth the time. My short, fat terrier that needs the steps, was not nervous on them, after the first try. And comparatively speaking to the ramp that I paid more for, and only lasted a year, and had to be fixed a few times, and was replaced by steps I paid 140 for which also lasted a year. Had to be rejoined several times, and still collapsed into splinters, a few days ago... I don't see any of that happening with this piece. Solid wood platform and treads, metal frame. And my King Shepherd puppy, who is 65 pounds at 5 months, has already made himself comfy underneath it. (I think he thinks he's camping😁) You will need space for this thing. I bought this little bunk bed for my dachshund because she loves to be close to me at night, and I wanted her to have her own spot instead of trying to burrow under my blankets. It actually works really well for that. Once I added her heated blanket, she went right into it and now sleeps in it most nights. She seems happy being up at the same height as my bed so she still feels close. One thing I didn’t expect to like so much is that the bed and the stairs come apart. Most people keep it as one big unit, but I use the stairs separately and set the top bed right next to mine. It fits my space better and keeps her from trying to jump. The stairs themselves are sturdy, but my dog is still a little scared of them. Dachshunds can be funny about heights, so she’s taking her time learning to trust them. The felt pieces that go on the steps help with traction, but they attract fuzz constantly. I find myself wiping them down all the time, but at least they keep her from slipping. The only minor downside is that the separate pieces take up a bit more room near my nightstand. Nothing major, just something you should be aware of depending on your room layout. A ramp at the end of the bed might be easier for some dogs, but I like how this one looks and how sturdy it feels. Overall, I’m really happy with it. My dog feels close to me without being right in my bed, the setup looks nice in the room, and the bed feels well made. I would buy it again, even with the little things to work around. Read more

Our dog loves this stand where he can get up and see out the window. We put his bed below and he loves that too. The stand is well made with precision engineered parts. It assembles easily, and the directions are clear and simple. It is well throughout and adds functionality to our home. The addd storage drawers are great for organizing his toys and other supplies. This was just what we needed! This affordable perch allows our dogs to get up to the window level without damaging any furniture! The unit was a great price, it was easy to assemble, and the drawers and botyom space offer a lot of options. Currently I have to have the stairs in front of the unit, not off to the side, and they work beautifully there. We have several larger dogs, from a foxhound to shepherd to pit bull to mastiff, and one smaller dog. The larger dogs can curl up on the bed on top and keep an eye out the window. My teen has even sat there with a dog occasionally! The unit doesn't wobble or shake and shows no signs of deterioration after several months of heavy use. Read more

I highly recommend this raised dog bed! I bought it for my 9-pound Havanese mix, and she absolutely loves it. She used to constantly try to climb onto our coffee table to look out the window, so I spent a long time researching options like this before finally deciding to buy it.
