I needed a coat like this to wear with my evening dress. Recently took a trip to Toronto. Wore this for a sate night and absolutely loved it! I didn't want to spend a thousand on a similar coat at a local Department store, price wise this is perfect! I'm 5'3 130 lbs. According to the recommendation I was supposed to order a medium but ordered a small. Glad I did. My chest size is 36 DD and this wasn't tight around my chest, perfect on my shoulders. So the first time I ordered this coat it was the beige color and based off the reviews I ordered a Medium. I normally wear a large and the medium was actually too big and the fit was just awful. I returned it and decided to order a different color and a smaller size and I couldn't be happier!!! It is such a good quality coat, which I really didn't expect when I first ordered. It feels heavy and overall very comfortable!! For reference I am 5'6 172lbs and my body type is AWFUL, LOL, and I ordered a small. But the coat hides my fat and I love it, lol!! This coat is well made and fits well. I'm 5'7" and 135 and bought a S. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is that the fabric is pretty stiff and not a soft wool blend. I saw that in other comments. It looks nice so I'll be keeping it. Read more

Definitely size down. It's a beautiful coat but it's BIG. I very comfortable fit into most XL jackets since I have wider hips and shoulders but I'm absolutely drowning in this one. It's good quality though, the material is thick and the jacket is heavy so I have no doubt it would be the perfect winter coat when I get the right size. Read more
