Overall the YINOLIFE scale is a smart scale but it has a very simple app to use. It links very easily and updates extremely fast. I was watching my girls play with stepping on the scale as I was playing with the app and I was watching it update dang near real time on my phone versus what they were doing. The scale can easily be used with or without the app but you will lose the weightloss tracking and other features it keeps track of when you use it.
