Great pan! Distributes heat evenly and resists scratching of the non stick surface better than most others. Definitely should order with the cover. Only drawback is the two pan handles get scorching hot so always uses pot holders; this is the only design feature I don't like. Otherwise I would have rated it a perfect 5 stars. This one drawback can be overlooked because as a cooking implement it is superior to most of the competing high end brands and at a competitive price to boot. Read more

Great pan! Can cook just about anything in it and the heat is evenly distributed all the way up the sides too. Looks like a wok but it is so much more versatile. Does not make a mess on the stovetop and cleans like a breeze. Use it more than any other pan I have. Read more

It is a nice pan, but is not as deep as the picture shown; besides, I used it for a while and felt its quality was not the same as other Scanpan, seems it was made elsewhere. Read more

This is the most used pan in my kitchen, hands down. I have two of them, one with a stainless steel lid purchased in 2004, and the other with a glass lid that we just bought this year through Amazon to go in our business flat (glass lid can be purchased from Amazon after a lengthy wait on back order). I recommend getting the lid to go with it. If you were only going to have one pan, this should be it. Despite the name, I have yet to actually make Paella in it. I use it for any kind of frying, stir-fries, meat pasta sauces (bolognase), and will even make pan-cakes in it if needed. My older pan does not look as new any more, with a few scratches and some slight browning on the finish in the base, which I didn't want to excessively scrub to clean and risk damage). Cosmetically, this doesn't look as nice, but I haven't found it to affect the function at all. It's still non-stick, although not to the same degree as a fresh out of the box pan, however, I've never found a non-stick pan that is as good 8 years later as day one. My new pan is still in mint condition a few months later, and I love the 'see through' glass lid that I purchased to go with it. Overall, I love the size of this pan, it's huge, meaning I can cook up a double batch, or cater for large parties with ease. I also think it's more functional having a flat base with the sloped slides compared to a wok, as you can cook a wider variety of foods with one pan. Take care of it, and it will be good to you. I don't have any other non-stick pans that have survived as long as this one, and it's still going. It's well worth the investment. Read more

Absolutely love this giant pot. they call it a paella pan, but it's actually a bit deep for that -- though it worked quite well! It's very large and I think good for cooking just about anything from chicken to spaghetti sauce. Warning: the handles get VERY hot. and a lid, which I'm sure is available separately, would be nice. But I'm crazy about this pot! Read more

This is the most versatile pan I own. If I could have only one cooking pan, this is the one I would choose above all others. Read more

Bought this pan for my mom and she loves the pan. She replaced her wok and can't stop cooking with the pan. Nonstick at it's best. Read more
