This is a lovely pattern and design. It works really well with a chemise underneath for a basic 18th century re-enactor’s outfit and is very comfortable. With certain outfits I need to wear historically accurate stays which are less comfortable, but this is fine (and more comfortable and easier to get on!) for colder or non-juried events when I’m wearing more layers or a looser outfit. This is my second purchase of this corset because I gave my first one to my sister to try. She loved it, so I just let her keep it and bought myself another. It would also be nice on the outside instead of underneath clothing for a hobbit or fairy costume, and the price is much cheaper than a custom set of 18th century stays! It’s so easy to put on with the zipper, and then you can customize the fit with the laces! I did adapt mine by sewing down the adjustable shoulder straps part since the ribbons didn’t allow mine to be short enough since I’m petite. Because I’m wearing mine as an undergarment, no one will see my ugly stitches! :) The pattern is really pretty if you want to wear it on the outside as a costume though! Read more

Love the item as far as quality of fabric and fit. I ordered a 16 and I'm 215lbs 5'4". I am a 38G bra size so its definitely the upper limits of what the bodice can handle. (Unfortunately I'm used to that). But it laces and zips fine. The docking of one star is due to the pattern placement. I somehow drew the short stick of not having a SINGLE full pink rose on the front of the bodice. I feel like there could have been better qualify checks to make sure this sort of thing doesn't happen to the products sent out. I do plan to refund and reorder the exact same item in hopes of drawing a better pattern placement. I do plan to keep the replacement no matter what as the pattern is beautiful (even if all the roses are only on the back), and the fit and quality is pretty decent, and I'm wearing it to an event and won't have time to exchange a second time. Also another reviewer who mentioned the flaps sticking up for us curvy girlies is correct. It doesn't bother me but if it bothers you, keep it in mind. Read more

Super cute! Love the material and really easy to put on, it has a zipper on the side which was great. Definitely follow the size guide. don’t know why but I sized down and it was too tight after a few hours lol but that was my own mistake, still pretty comfy and perfect for my event! It is so beautiful!!! Easy to get on with the side zip. It is very flattering and the boning holds up-no need to wear a bra for those like me who are small busted! The length is fine coming down to the waist. I’ve ordered other corsets and belts from them which were made from a brocade cloth material so I was surprised to see this one was made out of a polyester nylon type of material. It still is pretty and it’s a change up from the others I have from them! I have around a 27 inch waist and size 6 worked for me. Read more

Ordered my usual size a small and the shoulders are too wide set to be comfortable on my frame. They either dig into my arms or slide down because they're too far out to rest properly on my shoulder. Otherwise it fit well and is unique looking . But it didn't work on my body proportion. Read more
