Well constructed, heavy leather. These are going to be an heirloom. I liked the color, and got many compliments, but it’s a little lighter shade than the pics. For sizing, I’m 6’2” 220lbs, more of a butt than the average guy. I wear 34 in every pants I have, and by reviews and the size guide, that’s what I should get. I ordered 34, I couldn’t get them over my butt, let alone button them. I got 38, and they fit nicely, a little looser than I prefer, but I didn't have the time to wait for the 36 which weren’t prime. But the 38 fit well like I said. Maybe if you’re straight up and down, your regular size might fit, but if you have an athletic build, go up at least one size, two to be sure. Read more
I've been playing in a German band for over 25 years, and finally had to replace my lederhosen because they no longer fit. I checked a pair out at one of the major sellers of German clothing in the U.S. (the same one that my original pair came from). It turned out that the price from Amazon was a lot less than from the major seller, and included suspenders, which would have to be purchased separately. The pair I got from Amazon was exactly what I would have gotten from the other outfit: exceedingly well-made with outstanding materials, comfortable, and authentic. lederhosen are a middle grey, the knife pocket was a totally lighter color. they had a nice lining and seemed of a quality construction. I ordered 34, I am a US 34 inch waist, but they were super tight. recommend ordering a size up. for ref: i'm 5-11/205. i'll return them for a larger size. Read more
