The Best Value Lighter Duty Glove Out There

WA GOctober 25, 2025✓ Verified purchase

I seem to have to keep changing glove brands as each one that I really like eventually die out. My latest glove to go MIA (though they somehow made a comeback, which is unusual) are the Caring nitrile gloves. The Carings have actually been the least expensive gloves I've found for my needs. They also seem to have a higher mil. Since I work with wet and cleaning chemicals, I try to go with a higher mil. The Carings have done the job--granted, I wouldn't recommend using them for dishwashing since they only handle wet briefly, but my intent for them was not for dishwashing; it was more for a mix of medical applications and personal housekeeping. Why did I pick the Schneiders, then? Well, the Carings were not available to buy at a certain point. Fortunately, these Schneider gloves popped up as a recommendation. I found they are similarly (if not the same) priced as the Carings. They also had good reviews. I can't remember if the "rated" mil is higher or not (in fact, I think it's lower), but, after using them, I notice they handle wet better then the Carings. The wet tolerance is still brief, but they don't stain my hands at all, unlike what the Carings would do at times. Also, they don't leave a smell on my hands, unlike the Carings. And, since I did later manage to buy another box of Carings, I notice the Carings fall apart, A LOT, and within seconds of using. I don't know what happened with that brand and why all their gloves have been suddenly tearing on me! That said, given the stellar quality of the Schneiders, I ended up going through my first box of them before I finished my Carings (I have a box on each floor of the home) since I didn't like the Carings much anymore. So far I've had ZERO tears from Schneider; it's apparent they make an affordable yet very quality glove. I plan to keep buying their gloves as long as they sell them. The Carings are no longer on my list to buy, and I don't recommend those at this point. *NOTE: If you're looking for a more water resistant glove and/or something with grip, the lime green gloves that that one Youtube cleaning guy wears are the best! I've used those for dishwashing, BUT, be forewarned: they don't handle heat the same way dedicated dishwashing gloves do, which means your hands will feel hot temps much quicker and more easily wearing them vs dedicated dishwashing gloves. I have not had them rip with hot water exposure, though. They are also a sturdy yet affordable--for their class anyway--glove. They are more expensive then the Schneiders, but that's because they're built for a more hardy purpose. Read more
