They were cute but too small for my kids. Plus they needed clear backpacks Read more
This book bag is a great choice It has plenty room in it it's wide which is awesome!! I love the wide straps ..I say if you looking for a nice one this is it Read more
This is a nice back pack, with plenty of room to hold a laptop, notebooks, and file folders. The outer pocket is big enough to hold a book, or two. There's also a couple of side pockets for a bottle of water and a cell phone. The straps are sturdy, easily adjustable, and padded, which helps keep them from digging into my shoulders. The main part of the bag has a two way zipper with two pull tabs that can be locked together for extra security, if needed. The material is some sort of polyester and is easily wiped clean with a damp cloth. I haven't tried tossing it into the washer yet, but it looks like it could handle a washing on the gently cycle. The stitching is even and secure, no loose threads. I can see this backpack easily lasting through more than one school year. Read more
Water-resistance is a plus. Two pockets plus slots on sides. Padded interior slot for a small laptop or tablet. Front pocket wide enough for pencil box. It arrives with unattached straps, so you’ll have to loop them in to the buckles and then to your desired length. Pretty basic but should last a school term. Out of the ordinary looking so easy to identify from others. Read more

The red color is a little darker than the image suggests - it's not fire engine red more jewel toned red. The rest of the backpack is white and well made. The stitching looks good, clips and fastenings are plastic but they don't feel flimsy (this backpack is a replacement for one that the strap length adjusting clip broke in half) zippers feel good. The bag will hold a lot of stuff, we have a pencil box in the bottom for reference in the photos. The front zip doesn't have any subdividers, the large section has a divider for something thin like a notebook, folder, tablet, maybe a very thin laptop. It would be a great backpack for middle school/high school/college. Read more

I like this backpack. It's great for my granddaughter, with a few large pockets, to carry all her stuff to and from school. The colors are great, and the neighbor boy has complimented her new backpack a few times at the bus stop. It's made from sturdy materials and is well-constructed. Read more

This is a pretty nice-looking backpack, but in my opinion (which is, of course, correct), it has too many weird decorative features and not enough useful features. The good points: The color-block design is attractive; it’s pretty well-padded on the back, straps, and bottom, and it’s got a padded divider in the main compartment for a laptop. It has two compartments; the smaller front compartment is about 10.5 x 13 inches. The not-so-good points: I have my doubts about the construction quality. The zipper seams have only a single row of stitching, not a double row like you’ll find in higher-quality backpacks. Since zipper seams tend to be the first part of a backpack to give way, I’m not too optimistic about this backpack’s longevity. Also, the side pockets are a bit too deep and narrow for my taste. They’ll hold a 20-ounce soda bottle, but nothing much bigger around than that. I can fit my hand into the pockets to retrieve my keys, but it’s a little bit of a squeeze. You may find the pockets too small if you have larger hands. Also, the backpack doesn’t have a pocket that’s really suitable for carrying pens and pencils. In my opinion (which is, of course, correct), a backpack needs a zippered pocket or inside pocket that’s big enough for pens and pencils but not so big that small objects get lost at the bottom and you have to grope for them. The small outer pocket on most backpacks works fine for that purpose, but this backpack doesn’t have a small outer pocket or any pockets inside the compartments. The weird points: The front of the smaller compartment is padded (why? That’s just excess padding that doesn’t, well, pad anything). There’s a hidden outside pocket against your back, open at the top with no zipper or flap. I had two reactions to the outside pocket, which, in order, were (1) that’s kind of clever and (2) what on earth is it for? I can’t imagine what you would carry in it that wouldn’t cause an uncomfortable bulge in the small of your back, or why you would want to carry anything in a pocket that doesn’t have a zipper or flap but also isn’t easy to reach. It’s convenient to have an open side pocket for things you frequently want to take out, like your phone or water bottle, but in my opinion (which is, of course, correct), any other pocket should be closeable or inside a closeable compartment so there’s less risk of things falling out. Maybe it’s supposed to be a security feature, since most other people won’t notice it’s there, but I don’t see why putting your wallet or whatever in there is any more secure than putting it down at the bottom of the main compartment, where it won’t poke you in the back. The really baffling points: See that fold on the front? You thought that was the top of a pocket, didn’t you? Well, it’s not. It’s nothing but a fold in the fabric with absolutely no purpose that I can determine. (Unless maybe it’s a decoy? A pickpocket will be so busy trying to figure out how to open the front pocket, which doesn’t exist, that he won’t notice the back pocket that does exist?) Then there’s that strap hanging from the fold. What on earth is it for? Presumably you’re supposed to hang something on it, since it has a D-ring at the end, but what, and why? Certainly not anything that might attract the hypothetical pickpocket, such as keys or an ID, because they’d be too easy to grab, and certainly not anything large like a water bottle, because it would hang down below the bottom of the backpack and bounce and smack against your rear end as you walk. And there’s that thing that looks like a logo, but is actually a teeny-tiny pocket with a clear window, open at one side, with a teeny-tiny picture inside that looks like the sun behind clouds but is captioned “Waves and Beaches.” What is that for? Why do I want to carry around a teeny-tiny removable picture? Am I supposed to collect other inaccurately captioned teeny-tiny pictures and switch them out according to my mood? I don’t get it. (And no, it’s not a pocket for an ID, because it’s only about 2.25 x 1.25 inches, much smaller than most ID cards.) Finally, just in case it matters to anyone: Thanks to all the padding, this backpack is a lot bulkier than you might think. I’m not sure it will work for the purpose I had in mind, because I needed a backpack that will fold up compactly, and this one doesn’t. So…should you buy this backpack? It's not a terrible backpack, but it seems designed more to be decorative than to be functional. If you love the style, or if you know something I don’t about the purpose of non-existent pockets and straps that don’t strap anything, this backpack is an okay choice. But if you want a practical backpack, with appropriately placed and sized pockets for organizing and carrying your stuff, keep looking, because you can do better than this one. Read more
