The heavy base makes these glasses quite stable, but the glass itself is rather thin which makes it a pleasure to drink from. I did drop one on a hard surface and it broke; however, I bought a set of four about ten years ago and still have three of them. So they have held up well. I use these to drink good single malt Scotch whisky in -- neat. Also, the glass is quite hard and doesn't scratch or show wear despite all the use I've given them. It's often said you get what you pay for. These are pricey, but worth it. Don't drink expensive whisky for cheap glasses. Read more
