My grandson and I put it together last night. He needed a little help and differentiating between the three tiny screw sizes was challenging but once assembled it’s a very cool toy. Make sure you have a very small Phillips screwdriver! He hasn’t put it down and loves it. So pleased he has found pleasure in something not a video game. Got this for my daughter for Christmas. She liked putting it together and thinks its cool but could be better sound and the pieces were not easy to remove so some could have broke, thankfully she's careful. Read more

This kit caught my eye right away when I opened it. It comes with pre-cut wooden pieces and a set of electronic parts that you build into a little electric guitar-shaped project. It has that "build it yourself" feel that turns the work into something more creative and fun. I liked that everything was laid out in the box - the parts are lightweight, kid-friendly and the simple layout makes it easy to follow along. It has a hands-on vibe to it, and once the pieces are connected, it makes sounds - which adds coolness to the project. I picked this up to build with my grandchild.
