This magnet system is by far the winner of all the phone mount systems we’ve tried. Love that I can just throw my phone in the general direction of the stand and it is solidly attached for the duration, just the safest way to deal with phone + driving realities. We’ve driven all over the US, this system is super solid. Which brings me, ahem, to the flaw. I have a Lifeproof cover on my phone, which has a matte texture. Magnet attaches fine for a long time. The base in my car is near the heater vent (Volvo). As the adhesion ages, the magnet suddenly detaches from the phone, and the phone goes flying. The heater vent is the key problem, plus the slight texture on my case plastic. If you have either a spot far away from a vent for the base, or a smooth phone surface, it will work. My husband’s smooth phone cover has not had this issue, but I’ve had it repeatedly with two separate covers and three new magnets. I hit on using Gorilla Glue to attach the magnet to my case permanently. Hopefully the glue is stronger than that strong magnet in the base! Read more

Bought these because I didn’t know if the mount came with any! They did indeed but I put it on my case and it fell off within a week! It works great on smooth cases, but if your case if rough it sucks at keeping your phone on the mount! Read more
