You really can put a lot of stuff comfortably in the pockets. I just got it but put two shirts in it. My passport, wallet, reading and sun glasses. AirPods and case, Bluetooth connector, phone, three playing cards size boxes with stuff in them. The vest looked fine with plenty of room to have doubled that and more. Most of the large pockets were still empty. The only slight bulge you could see was the two shirts in the back pocket. Even that went away when worn unzipped. The shirts acted like a lumbar support. I usually put the airline pillow on the seat for that. I wear a large, sometimes XL with loose jackets or shirts. I got the XL in this vest so it would fit loosely and not show bulges if zippered up. It is plenty big so I would call it true to size. It’s great to have nothing in my pockets, easy airport screening and still have a backpack and carryon avoiding the cost in time and money of a checked bag. It is pricey but is well built and can carry a lot. All it needs to do is allow me to avoid checking a bag 2-3 times and it has basically paid for itself. Read more

Fantastic Travel Vest! I was concerned about the fabric being polyester because my skin is sensitive. So soft. Better to the touch than well-worn cotton. Fits beautifully. Lots of arm room for ease of movement. The few less than stellar reviews mentioned the zippers. The front zipper is wide and strong and smooth. The zippers for the compartments slide easily and have a color piping to make them more visible in poor light. The design and size of the pockets make it easy to adjust your items to balance the weight and feel unburdened. Looks great. This vest is quite useful for travel. I recently used it on a Caribbean cruise. I placed my passport, wallet and money clip in the RFID secure inside pocket; my sunglasses in one of the outside chest pockets with my cellphone in the other outside chest pocket; and my Linfle in the large inside pocket. The two outside zip pockets just above my waist and the large pocket running the width of my back were unused. It was quite efficient for the vest to pass through X-ray screening and for me to walk through the magnetometer. Based on this, I will use this vest for all future air travel. The weight was sufficiently light enough to not make it uncomfortable in high 70 to low 80 degree temperatures with a bright sun. Also useful was the carabiner in the right front pocket that I could secure my hat to and not leave behind after dining. The number of pockets is somewhat overstated as I don’t carry earbuds and the credit card pocket was uselesss as my credit cards were in a slim wallet in the RFID pocket. Placing a water bottle in the pocket with the water bottle strap can be done but it makes the vest unsightly. All in all, the vest is great for airport and other security stations, can eliminate a fanny pack and overall is comfortable. If you despise the look of the vest (as my adult daughter does) no amount of functionality can overcome the aesthetics. Read more

well made, its expensive but i assume i will only ever buy this one in my lifetime. it did the job of getting me through the weight lines with carry on only weight limits of 20lb on my international trip. i would recommend the vest. it was heavier than i expected fabric wise. i live in the desert SW of US so it will only be a cold weather vacation vest for me. i doubt i will ever wear it in the winters even here. but i do like it and very happy i bought it Read more

My return went over 30 days and the package was unopened in original packaging with all labels affixed and Scottevest said their firm was unable to give refund to me directly and I should call Customer service and have them call scottevest. They have not replied. I will never ever buy anything from this company! Period. Read more
