The one I am most familiar with and have used before are for dishes. These work pretty great in terms of dishes. They do not scratch and for the most part keep together. They retain a good amount of detergent and scrub well with easy to handle ergonomics. After a while of a few weeks or more (depending on how much hand dish washing is done) it will break down and start to fall apart little piece by little piece. They can also be used for regular cleaning link sinks, bathtubs, countertops, etc. The steel scour daddy has more selective usage since it has a steel lining, so you have to be wary of using it on material that could be scratched. Therefore, it is best used for steel grills or metal pots and pans with hard stains or cast iron cooking that you may have to re-season, depending on how much and hard you scrub. It works well like steel wool in this way and is easier to handle with. I like the cleaning power and experience of using the paste. Since it is a paste, you can just dab some or scoop some out with your scour daddy pad. It has a nice citrus fragrance that is light in strength, so not overpowering, but it does smell nice. It works pretty well also. I wouldn't use it on dishes due to the mildly abrasive nature and also because it is not specifically made for dishes, it is a more general cleaning paste. It can be used for the sink, countertop, bathtub, etc. It did work surprisingly well in my bathtub with the regular non steel scour daddy. Usually I have a built up grime in my bathtub that is well worked in that is hard to scrub off, it takes some muscle power. However, with the paste it came off pretty easily and only with a slight amount of pressure and quick scrubbing, so I was somewhat impressed and happy with its performance. The current pricing seems okay at about $24 for the set, this is kind of what I would expect for the amount of stuff that comes with the set and this type of brand, which would be higher than a more generic brand. This just might be the best thing ever on my husbands shower tile. We have well water, no water softener, and he doesn’t believe in squeegeeing his own shower, tile or glass. So the glass has been a challenge since we built this house, and I’d given up on the porcelain tile on the shower walls. It had layers of water spots, lots of layers. I got in there today with the NON-steel pad and the scouring paste, and the tile is better than it’s been for a long long time. I can’t say it worked miracles on the glass, but it did as well as anything else I’ve tried, which has been a lot, including homemade concoctions that contained vinegar and/or citric acid. It does beautifully on sinks, and I’ll be using this all over the place. In cleaning power, I’d put it right up there with the pink stuff, but the scent is way better. I’m pleased, and I’ll be restocking when my paste is gone. I don’t know that the sponges are extra special, but they work fine, and the metal ones are great for scrubbing stainless skillets.
