Premium Ultralight Down Sleeping Bag
I'm getting older, and while I'm not an "extreme high tech" camper and backpacker, I still like to "get out there," so a warm, compatible, and light bag really helps. If you are car or van camping, weight isn't a factor, and there are lots of good bags for about half the price of this one, but if you're hoofing it, you don't want 40lbs. on your back.....at least I don't. Sea to Summit is a trusted, well-known Australian company, who has been making outdoor gear for years, and I researched this bag, and many sites gave it very high ratings. I'm 5'9", so a Regular bag is fine for me, and I don't camp in Winter or particularly cold weather, so the 30º bag is fine with me. I like that this bag a flexible zipper functions, for comfort, zipping two bags together, and fully opening it up, for use as a camping down comforter. Mine only weighs 1lb. 6oz., which is amazing. If you want to augment the thermal rating, using a mummy sleeping bag liner, (which extends the life of the bag, and reduced the need for laundering,) is always a good idea. This Spark-Pro is warm, comfortable, and has a nice foot box, so I don't feel "tied up" when inside. This bag comes with a storage sack, compression sack for camping, and an extensive set of cards and papers that describe the features and lifetime warranty.
