I’ve tried baking soda to raise my hardness but it also raises the ph and then I have to use ph down to offset it. It never really worked that well and it’s a headache to do (it does well for kh though, just make sure you have ph down on hand). Equilibrium works PERFECTLY in raising my hardness and not affecting the ph. I also think it saved my snails! My snails never moved and I thought they might be dying. I did some research and read articles that mentioned snails will hardly come out of their shells if the water conditions are not right. They need minerals for their shell health. My snails are out cleaning my tank ALL THE TIME now that I’ve put this stuff in my water! This really is amazing stuff! Read more
