Got it a few days ago, So far so good. When I open the packaging amazing put it in there was some type of stickyness on the box though. I contacted Amazon right away , and they offered me $10 for the inconvenience. Make sure to TURN PS4 FULLY OFF FIRST THEN PLUG IN, BEST IMO. It was ready to go in less than 5min. I already upgraded the Internal HDD 1 x and realized the exteral prices were much better and you got much much more space. Great price. Love it ..removing 1star due to whatever the stickyness was on the outside of the box, people in the wherehouse neeed to watch how to handle items better . EDITED: Meant to add I have my PS4PRO In a Vertical stand, its a 3 in 1,Stand/2cooling fans/and 2 USB port. So I have it plugged in and sitting up against the side of the PS4 for now, With a Smaller TV speaker in front of it to make sure it does not fall over or any thing. I read a Comment where someone Mention It for some reasons will make the Bluetooth Controller disconnect. This actually happen to me last night a few times, But after turning it right back on it did not and has not done it again. Im not Sure what would cause that. I am going to however Move it tword the back more or off to the side. Its not a issue, Its just kinda Odd. Also My SSHD Seagate Firecuda Internal I 1st Upgraded with is full except I decided to free up 100GB (Almost) For updates. When setting up the HDD Best thing to do is TURN PS4 FULLY OFF PLUG IN USB TO HDD TURN BACK ON. It does Have to be Formatted but its SUPER FAST AND VERY SIMPLE,Nothing was on it so There was nothing to wipe clean. It did at 1 screen tell me that SCREEN SHOTS AND SCREEN CLIPS Would not save to it(NO IDEA WHY) I have had it since Wednesday Morning Of August 30th/ My Internet Speed Is Somewhat slow so Many of the games I had saving waiting to download I got from Gamesharing with a friend have Just been sitting and waiting for me to download. Some are 68g b and under. I have had my PS4 on since Wednesday downloading all my new games and the DLC, Just to see if it gets HOT I checked and for it to have been on and still is on since Mid week,It is BARELY warm. So That Is a Good thing. Already have right over 400GB in games on it. I use to and still do buy my games by Disc but As of lately I have just decided to start buying digitally. It may Take a day to download But I like Having my PSN ACCOUNT LINKED TO SONY REWARDS SITE, Everytime u spend money in PSSTORE, you get Points on SONYREWARDS and can save up to redeem several things. So All In all Great HDD. External is the way to go! You pay less and end up getting more room. I prob Should have got a 3TB but thats Ok, If the time comes I can and just transfer from one to the other and Have This as well.. It literally takes less than 5min to get going. I have my PS4 Set for everything to go to External as of now. Its very simple. It took longer getting it out the box then setting it up,lol.. If any1 has any IDEA WHY it would cause the PS4 to just disconnect out the blue please reply after reading and let me know.. Any questions please ask. Lastly , I have heard WD Is Not the best way to go with PS4's,I cant confirm that But I have read that info 2x. Both my Internal and External Seagates are Great. Both meant for gaming. I will say that the SSHD Internal firecuda, Didn't make any difference in speed, If it did its very very minimal. And spending money on a actual SSD on a PS4 is insane IMO. Hope this info was helpful JD. Read more

2TB, plug and play. If you’re using a first gen console, then you must use this on the correct USB port as the first gen console only has two and only one of which is 3.0 which is required for the drive to function correctly (If the console is upright, then it’s the bottom one, laying flat it’s the left one) also note that using a usb expansion will nullify the one USB port to standard and the drive will not work. It works perfectly fine on any port on the pro since they are all 3.0 however usb expansion on the front will nullify the use for 3.0 functions. Other than those minor issues it greatly expands the ability for game data and it’s simply plug and play. If you want all data to be written to it instead of the consoles internal drive you must change those setting in the PS4 under “storage”. Also note like all drives you must tell the PS4 to stop using it before you remove it or it will corrupt your data. Read more

I was skeptical at first because I had recently bought an external harddrive from Wal-Mart online through a third party vendor and when I received it it didn't work, long story short- it was a hassle getting my money back. I really wanted an external harddrive because I didn't want to tear my ps4 apart and go through having to upload all my data just to have to reinstall it later. My boyfriend recommended Amazon and this harddrive because he bought one exactly like it and fell in love with it, so I took a leap of faith and ordered this one (Now that I have it I wish I would have gone with the 4TB but its done and over). I have to say this product is great, I've only had it for a few weeks but it works perfectly! Installation was very easy. Transferring my data was simple ( this may take a few minutes to 1 to 2 hours, depending on how much is on your internal harddrive). Overall its a solid piece of equipment. Thank you :D Read more

So the product works. The issue is for some reason when first plugging it into the ps4 it kept giving me an error stating it wasn't compatible because the usb 3.0 isn't supported. Online it seems it is a major issue with a lot of people. After unplugging and plugging it back in it finally worked after the 4th try. So so far so good. Just the one issue Read more

I just go the Seagate External drive fior the PS4 yesterday, and As of this morning, I have put on 12 games, ranging from almost 10gb to almost 65gb, and it took 45 minutes to transfer those games from the PS4 internal drive to the external drive. The set up/format took seconds to do, which was great, since some people had mentioned 2-5 minutes to do. I do have internet from ATT and share it with three other people, so that could be a reason why it’s taken awhile to load from drive to drive, but I am not complaining, I FINALLY have room!! There is no instructions on the paperwork, so I was glad that people had asked questions and got things cleared up. Make sure your system is completely turned off, plug in the drive, turn on your system, and follow the prompts. The only issue/problem that some people may have, is when you transfer over your games, from the internal drive, your not able to turn off the system. Not an issue for me, since I had some time to kill this morning, so it was a perfect time early this morning for me to do the transfer. I have included three photos to give everyone a better idea as to how small it is, which makes it perfect for a small compartment in a handbag or backpack. And the blue light in the corner of the drive let’s you know it’s on. So I went from having 400gb of games on my internal drive, to now I only have 10.20gb on my internal. No need to delet the games off it, and everything transferred over beautifully. And if you leave it plugged in, any game you download from the PS4 store, or from a disk, it will go straight onto the external hard drive, and you can put it into sleep mode while doing it.
