My cats and dogs always take interest in doing things they absolutely should not. Things like climbing Christmas trees, exploring internal parts of electric organs, ripping up the window blinds, getting under the kitchen cabinets, hanging out under ladies dresses, etc. The dogs really like a lot of the same things but they REALLY like the litter boxes. Or prove yourself right. Either way, you'll have tried everything and will know what does or doesn't work. I bought this product for my lab mix rescue dog who is 7 years old. We tried basic training techniques along with obedience training and she continued to bark and lunge at other dogs while on walks. The product works exactly how it’s supposed to. Unfortunately for me my cat truly doesn’t care, we’ve tried everything to get him to stop ruining things and nothing has worked, so not a product issue more of a car issue. On the other hand this completely scared the crap out of my dog to the point where it’s taken days for her to come into the living room where we sprayed it. I have a very reactive chi mix who flips out barking at cars, people, animals, houseguests, neighbors, etc. I bought this as an alternative to whistles and spray/shock collars. At first, I used it sparingly and inconsistently due to its high price and doubt over the efficacy. It didn't have much of a long term effect. However, once I started using it and carrying it whenever I took my dog out, it has worked wonders. Even after just a week, my dog is finally responding to a quiet command and restraining himself from barking at everything, which has kept him out of the anxiety spiral. Now I hardly ever need to spray it. The spray has an interesting combo of a startling noise and calming scent. Sometimes I let my dog sniff the nozzle just so he calms down and is aware I have it on hand. Neighbors have commented on his change in behavior. I highly recommended this as a training tool. *NOTE* the can is very pressurized and the nozzle is sensitive, so you must take care when removing and replacing the cap or holding it. The scent of this product was truly awful 😖 it made me sick to my stomach and made me feel light headed. My dog thought when we pushed it down and it made that sound it was literally something to play with. It says to spray away from the animal but my dog is sooo dumb he would walk right into it and try to eat the spray when it came out of the can! He literally thought it was a toy ugh. I wanted to return it but we literally went through the whole bottle in a couple of days 😫. Our dogs behaviors that this product is supposed to correct just made him worse, he would bark at the bottle and twice he lifted his leg up and peed directly where I had just sprayed your guys correction spray, on my leather couch that now and will probably forever until I replace it will smell like puppy pee! This really gets the cats attention when they are doing something they shouldn't be and leaves a nice smell. When the can was full, this hissing noise was a bit loud. Eventually it barely made a noise but the cats still stopped what they were doing. It got to the point they would quit doing whatever they were doing or get down the minute they saw the can. Unfortunately the can doesn't last long at all. We just got this 4 days ago and it is already gone. Yes, we have 3 cats, but I was not constantly spraying this either.
