The first thing that struck me was how large a bar of soap this is. It’s big and as dense as an iron skittle and the price for this 6oz bar is very reasonable I think. I’m no stranger to specialty or handcrafted soaps and have purchased my fair share. In comparison the cost is just about what I’ve come to expect but the ingredients place it among the best bar soaps I’ve found. I don’t believe the listing currently includes the full set of ingredients so I’ve included a picture of the label. I’ve also run it through a trusted skincare ingredients decoder and was impressed by what it contains. There’s hyaluronic acid, collagen peptide, oatmeal, glycerin, kaolin clay and more. I’m not seeing any harsh ingredients that would strip skin or be drying but I do see lots of moisturizers in it. It makes a very thick creamy lather that is perfect for my purposes….I got it to use it for shaving since I despise shaving cream and my fancy body washes just don’t create a thick enough lather for the job. I also find this non drying and moisturizing plus it has a pretty rose scent. So I’m happy. I like the fact that it’s made in the USA and uses 100% natural ingredients. My one bit of constructive criticism is that the label could be a bit nicer or perhaps a nicer wrapper used for a more polished and upscale look. It comes sealed in clear plastic but the bar deserves a little more dressing up. I love giving gifts that allow people to pamper themselves and I’d gladly gift these based on the quality of the bar but the presentation is a little underwhelming. This is a great bar of soap! I liked that the box is entirely recyclable and the bar itself isn't wrapped in plastic. The smell is subtle when the bar is dry, and much stronger when wet. Personally, the tea tree scent is strongest, followed by lemongrass, and I don't really smell the mint due to the other two scents. But everyone has a different nose so your perception may be totally different from mine and other reviewers. The soap lathers well even in cold water and leaves your hands feeling clean, with the tea tree and lemongrass scents subtly lingering after rinsing. I've really enjoyed this soap. It lathered well, cleaned well, and actually helped with the embarrassing underarm odor I've experienced post-surgery. I'm not sure if the clay had a hand in that but I'm thankful for it regardless. The only downside to this soap is the appearance. I'm not sure if it was just an overly hot day when the soap was delivered, or if something went wrong in the manufacturing process but as you can see from the picture, the edge of my bar was pretty disfigured. I think that the QC process can use some tightening up. Some prettier paper could also elevate the bar but that doesn't count against my review score. Read more
