Not many department stores carry CalKing size mattress pads. This Serta pad fits perfect and adds a bit more comfort to my bed. It is super soft and great quality. The only thing I don’t like is the indentations it creates on my bed sheets. Other than that - its perfect !!! Read more

This is a well-made mattress cover. It's very comfortable: it gives a nice amount of cushion. Unfortunately, it sleeps very hot. The cotton fabric is nice, but the polyester filling inside heats up and holds the heat. If things like memory foam and polyester do not make you hot, this is a very nice mattress cover. If you tend to sleep hot, this one may not be for you. Read more
The differences you need to know: ~ Mattress cover: very thin; no padding; usually for mattress protection only. Zero "cush". Machine washable. ~ Mattress pad: thickness varies; some soft padding + mattress protection. Minimal-modest "cush". Machine washable. ~ Mattress topper: the thickest & softest cover for mattresses. Lots of "cush". In larger sizes like queen & especially king... NOT MACHINE WASHABLE, because it's too big for household machines, and it's a pain in the butt to have to take to commercial machines to get cleaned & dried. ................................... I used to have a thick, king size topper, but got tired of having to take to commercial machines to get cleaned & dried, so I figured I needed a mattress 'pad'. I initially ordered a very highly rated, very expensive, king size 'pad' from a high end retailer (not from Amazon site). High expectations were met with HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT!!! Way too thin. Felt seams through the sheets. NG!! Back it went! This mattress pad is one of the VERY few, if not the ONLY one on this site that's constructed with a cotton top & non-down, poly stuffing. (I find memory foam, microfiber material & natural down stuffing all sleep too warm, which I HATE!) We took this one for a test drive...and immediately found it VERY COMFORTABLE!!! Went onto the mattress with good, snug fit, no excess wrinkles. Secure hold to the mattress. Sleeping on it...you feel the soft 'cush' between you & the mattress, but NOTHING else...no seams, no excess material...just smooth, cool COMFORT!!! And bonus: even this king size mattress pad FITS nicely in both washer & dryer, 👍👍. Read more
