The dress is beautiful, the fabric is lovely, the fit is perfect! I love this dress. I am 5'4" and weigh 148 lb. My weight is all around my mid-section: Bra size 36DDD/F, waist 35, hips 42. (I'm sharing my measurements because reviews that helped me decide what size to order were the ones that gave their measurements.) I waffled between ordering a medium and a large and went with the large. It's perfect! The fabric is stretchy, but I didn't want a tight fit showing my bulges. This dress fits loose enough, and the cut of it makes me look slimmer. It did arrive with a light perfumy smell, but I'll be washing it before I wear it. It arrived in shrink-wrapped plastic, in perfect condition, but of course with wrinkles to be expected. The dress is going to work great for a semi formal January wedding in Chicago. The polyester dress is comfortable, thick and warm. Also being sleeveless with the attached cape is the perfect mix of temperature control for a menopausal woman of a certain age. Understated bling. I love it. Read more

After reading reviews (I always start with 1 star) I was very nervous. This is a thinner material. If you have ever bough this in a shirt it is the same just in a dress. I love it. The contrast is beautiful. The colors are really pretty (I got the green) the size is fitted. I am pricing 1 size up and keeping both. I think casual the fitted is nice for plus but 1 size up for a night out is appropriate. I love that it covers by tummy! Other dresses with waistlines and frills make me look pregnant. This does not. Highly recommend. Great value for the money. I also got just one in black when I ordered the size up for my event. 5’10, 235, large bust, shoulders, wide hips, thick thighs. Bought this for my very very short and very round mother n law for a wedding. She tried on this very style of dress from other brands in various colors and sizes. They all made her look huge. The scarf lays flat against the chest which gave her a slimming look. The other dresses of the exact same style had the scarf material ribbon across the chest providing a poofy look that made her just look huge. The hunter green color was really pretty and true hunter green. She has a very yellow complexion and white blonde hair and usually jewel tones dont suit her. But this did. Its really a great color if you normally favor black or navy but want something different . She is about 4’7 and maybe 180lbs. I got her the Xl and it fit her fine. I gave her some biker shorts to wear under which gave her the perfect compression to smooth her out. Shes diabetic and a lot of compression would make her feel awful after a few hours. I took off one star because its too long. Even for someone of average height, its too long. But for the price you cant beat it. Read more
