I've been wanting a portable dual zone cooler for years now. I had been using an Igloo Peltier type cooler for a while, but it is not efficient, burning a constant 60 watts so it kind of beats up on my power stations and can kill a car battery pretty quickly. It can't freeze things, and how cool it can get depends on the temperature outside, which is limiting. So compressor based dual zones have been, for years, priced out of my range. Last time I looked, probably like 5 years ago when I got the igloo, you were looking at 500 bucks for something approaching this energy efficiency and size. This one, on sale especially when I bought it(219.99) is really just an excellent value. It's made out of materials that feel like a quality high end cooler, and the dual zones are real dual zones. The one I tried before this could have the huge compartment freezer or fridge, and this tiny, laughably small compartment just fridge, which is the exact opposite of what I and what I suspect most people want. This one you can configure however you want. Both sides can freeze or fridge, in whatever configuration you want. It holds its temp pretty well too. I got no defrostring of the contents of the freezer after 3 hours of power outage from power station(environment was was low 80s temperature), which is important as that's more than enough time for me to charge up the power station and bring it back to resume power. Let me be clear, it did lose some temp, but not to the point of freezer contents defrosting, they were still frozen. This is important as I use this for my work on the road. It can keep the contents frozen for more than long enough to pull my power station into an office or hook up to a solar panel and charge up. The power consumption is just phenomenal. It burns 45watts when you first power up. In warmer environments it can burn 36watts, and in cooler environments I rarely see it go above 24. And those numbers are not, like with a peltier cooler, constant. It goes on and off to maintain temp, so it is a massive reduction in power consumption compared to my peltier cooler. In cooler weather, it has consumed less than 300 watts a day, and about 500 watts in warmer weather. I have not tested this in hot(high 90s and higher) weather yet, so I'd imagine it will consume more there, but that's par for the course. If I had any complaint, although this is more of a fantasy wish than a complaint... it's still a little on the big side for my current use case. When it's in my trunk, I have to take it out to fully open it. But this is the smallest, most efficient dual zone I was able to find anywhere near this price point, and it's just plain worth it. It sips power, holds its temp, has true dual zones, and is good quality. If you've been wanting a small dual zone freezer/fridge cooler but the high price tag has been holding you back, consider this. It's pretty nice. Read more

The media could not be loaded. Purchased previously larger size from Setpower and this time I needed smaller size for one person camping. This size fits perfect for me. There is a slight temperature variation slightly between the screen and actual reading off the interior. so I ordered the replacement unit and tested foe a couple of days. Because of the location of themometer( I don't know where exactly)it is difficult to give accrate reading I guess... So I decided to keep the unit. Other than the temperature reading, it works fantastic. Setting at -4F°, it makes ice too.. There are times the reading is close to perfect.( See the attached video) There are times the reading is off by about 5~7 degress. I guess it is fine with me as long as the unit keep the food cool inside... Overall small in size and it is a fine cooler. Highly recommend... Read more

I’ve used several portable coolers and mini fridges over the years, but the SetPower 12V Refrigerator has exceeded my expectations in both performance and design. It’s compact yet surprisingly spacious — easily fits drinks, snacks, and even meal prep containers for long trips. The cooling efficiency is outstanding. It chilled my water bottles from room temperature to ice-cold in about 20 minutes. The compressor is whisper-quiet, and the temperature control is precise, letting me adjust settings easily from the digital panel or the smartphone app (a feature I didn’t know I needed until now!). I took it on a 3-day camping trip, powered by my portable power station, and it ran flawlessly without draining too much energy. The insulation keeps everything cold for hours, even after being unplugged. It’s built solidly — handles feel sturdy, and the lid closes with a satisfying seal that locks in the cold. Pros: ✅ Fast and efficient cooling performance ✅ Quiet, energy-saving compressor ✅ Bluetooth app control is intuitive and responsive ✅ Durable build and easy-to-clean interior ✅ Great for cars, RVs, and off-grid setups Cons: • Slightly heavier than expected when fully loaded, but that’s the tradeoff for quality insulation Overall, this SetPower fridge delivers premium performance at a reasonable price. Whether for road trips, van life, tailgating, or emergency backup cooling at home, it’s a dependable piece of gear. I can confidently recommend it to anyone who needs reliable refrigeration on the go. Read more

Very easy to use temperature control and it's quite quiet. By itself the freeze retention is not all that great It will warm up somewhat quickly but with the ice pack it is much slower. Feels durable enough to use regularly Read more

This is an awesome cooler, had issues on initial start up with getting it going,,but after repeated plug/unplug, started. Since then, flawless! Used it for a 5 day camping trip, site has 110v, and it was great. Kepl foof perfect! Some moisture inside, but no biggie. On the way back from my trip, left unplugged without the ice thingy inside( definitely cuts into the space inside) and kept food cool, no cold for several hours. I have a portable charge station, 330w, and just for the heck of it ,plugged in the 12v cigg port, still going after 36 hrs, looking like is gonna go 48 hrs.( ext temp 75°) Very efficient! Haven't tried it as a freezer yet, but im betting that it will work just as good, probably eat morepower. Overall, definitely a must buy if you are in the market for a reasonably priced powered cooler Read more
