I bought this specifically for my 9yo son to use to relax while in the bath, and so far, after 5 months or so, our only complaint is that it retains water and ultimately molds. We have tried wringing it and hanging it to dry completely, as well as tossing it into the wash/dryer, but without using a bleach, the dark doesn’t come off. The pillow itself is super soft and my son mains his head feels like it’s on a cloud. The outer shell is comparable to the netting that comes on the bath tub bags for children’s toys.
