I like the overall look and feel of these boots, but trust me—they are not wide calf friendly. The "wide calf" description only applies if you leave them unzipped, which gives an unkempt, unattractive look. However, I am not 100% a fan. I ordered these mainly for fashion, and they look and feel great. I don’t have wide calves, but the boots zip up easily with extra room, so they should work well for wider calves too. The unzipped look isn’t as flattering in person, but it’s still wearable. The quality is good and they make a perfect addition to my fall and winter outfits. As a motorcycle rider, I wouldn’t recommend them for actual riding since the material doesn’t protect the ankles enough in the event of a slide. But for fashion purposes, they fit the bill perfectly. These came well packaged and feel well made. They look stylish and have soft/comfy insoles that are easy to walk around in even with the chunky heel. I wear a 10.5 normally, but ordered a 10 since that wasn't available. They fit fine without rubbing against my heels or the toe boxes being too small. Unfortunately, I don't think they live up to the "wide calf" billing. They are hard to zip fully, especially if you had hoped to wear them over jeans or thicker leggings. While the inner black panel gives the option of styling them unzipped, several of the model photos show them zipped as standard so I had assumed both options would work for a "wide calf" fit. It's unfortunate because I really like the black color and buckle accents otherwise, and they would be a perfect everyday boot if they actually had the "roomy circumference to accommodate wider calves" as described. These boots are really cute, but I'm not sure I'd call them "wide calf". I have a 17in calf and usually fit wide calf boots, but can only fit these with the buckles and zipper undone. They do have a fabric panel under the zipper so that you can style them open. I'm not sure I personally like that look, even though these are made with the option to be worn that way. The listing now says a 15.3in shaft circumference, so I'm not sure if I just missed that when ordering or if it was added afterwards. I might have totally just seen it say wide calf and just figured they would fit like a typical wide calf. They are really nice quality boots and are very comfortable. If you plan to wear these zipped up, you will not fit with wide calves. Read more

This is a really solid and nice pair of motorcycle boots with a unique design. These have an excellent tread with a lot of support and excellent comfort level - and the pleather is super soft and flexible so you get no irritation from the boot. What I haven't seen before is that these boots can be worn two ways: you can zip them all the way up and buckle them or you can keep them open and unzipped and just have them open either all the way or part way. This is great if you have larger calves or if you want these to look open like that - the interior lining is there and functions like an extension of the boot. I think it offers a lot of options - and these boots at this price point is a crazy good value! These seem true to size with enough extra room that you can wear a heavier sock. I love the look and overall feel of these boots. The buckles are always a nice touch and the low heels make them an easy all day wear type of boot. The toe box area is also very roomy, giving these boots extra comfort. That said, these boots are NOT wide calf friendly. My calves are around 15" in diameter and I struggled to zip them up. I suppose you could wear them unzipped but that would have to be a preference. The zipper on these boots is also not the best quality zipper for a boot of this type. Overall I do love these boots and am able to wear them as intended but they do fit more snug around my calves than I wanted them to. Read more
