These bushings fit on both driver and passenger tailgate post. The two cups, one with the notch, were a very tight fit. Even after cleaning. After installation of the bushing the tailgate would not go back on the truck. The driver side must go in first. This would not happen do to the bushings not allowing. I took the bushing off the driver tailgate post. The tailgate did go on and close. After opening and removing the tailgate again I found the passenger tailgate post bushing broke. Both driver and passenger post bushings are off my truck and the cups only are on. Read more

I have a 2003 Dodge Ram 1500. After 20 years of using it as a work truck, my tailgate hinges have rusted away. I think the biggest cause was hauling mulch. That mulch gets into everything and is hard to clean out. After 20 years I needed to get a new tailgate hinge set. This time I decided to put new bushings on. It keeps the hinge tighter so less grit will get between the hinges and the smooth plastic reduces any friction. I guess time will tell, but it is inexpensive and should last a long while. probably longer than my truck will. Read more
