My dog loves these
Received my twin pack of inflatable balls yesterday and my dog won't leave it alone, so it's a hit in my book. These arrived with a small pump to inflate the balls, so you don't need anything extra. However, while the included pump is a nice thought...it took me about 300 pumps to fill one ball. If you have any other method at home already to inflate sports balls, pool toys, or mattresses (hand pump, air compressor, ball needle) I'd suggest you use it. The ball itself is just a rubber ball covered in brightly colored fuzzy material...much like a giant tennis ball. It bounces a lot like a four-square red rubber ball. My pup loves to "dribble" with it like it's doggie soccer...kicking it along with her front paws and nose. I imagine most herding breeds would get a huge rush out of doing the same. She also likes getting enough of the outer fuzz loose so she can pick it up in her teeth to haul it around. The ball is large enough (about basketball sized once inflated) so my medium sized mixed breed dog can't get a tooth through it to puncture it right away. Eventually, though, she'll pull enough of the fuzzy exterior off to create a slow leak and once it starts to deflate she'll get a hole in it. She doesn't care...she'll still have fun flinging the ball around for a good while. Once she gets to the point where she just wants to settle down for a good chew, we do take it away so she doesn't ingest any of the pieces. We typically go through several of these balls each year, so I appreciate that they are sold in a twin pack. Read more
