I love these over knee leg warmers. They are soft, warm , and the new colors are very nice. I have 3 pair: when I sleep in them, they pull down over my toes. I have a medical condition and these do not bother my legs. The others I wear with skirts when it is cold out. My friends like them in the workout studio, when the windows are open and it is cold. I wear these directly against my skin under jeans to cut some of the cold weather when out and about. I love how soft and colorful they are. They're soothing to wear. I haven't worn them out in extremely (40F or lower) cold weather yet, but so far I'm pleased with how comfy they keep me when I'm out in the cold or cozying up at home. [Edit] I wound up getting a pair in black, and in "dark green". I wanted to add that the "dark green" does not look like the photo; it's more of a dark forest or pine green, not the brighter teal color as shown in the photo. These leggings are high-quality but don’t stay up. I’m 5’6”, 123 lbs, a yoga teacher with thin but muscular legs. If I move around a lot with my yoga pants on, leggings over, these leggings start to slip downward. If you have heavy legs, I’m not sure these are right for you, but they are warm. No tag so fabric content unknown but these are very soft and comfortable. Very stretchy. The binding is not too tight but just tight enough to stay put. I bought them to replace decades old cashmere wool blend pair I bought from Barneys NY at their annual clearance sale. Can't remember what I paid but I have loved them. See image. Those were knitted/woven and didn't stay up - which didn't matter to me. Curiously this new pair has seams on both sides which also don't matter to me. I bought them for my daughter who didn't want them so I kept them. They look tiny in the package but they fit divinely. I even slept in them. Can't wait to get the black pair later this week. I'm not really sure if these are real cashmere, no way to test it. They are warm. They do layer well, and they stay up when over any thickness of hose or leggings, like with a skirt to cover the exposed parts of the leg.. They will stay up worn alone for a while, but if you walk a lot they will slide down. They work better when they can hold on to a base layer. When you layer the way I'm describing (similar to photo) they look just like the photo, will extend from Ankle to mid thigh, but I also have skinny legs and tall. I ordered this leg warmer for two important reasons. One, the cashmere material give me warmth and two, it's long enough to cover my knee and ankle. I ordered dark blue and dark grey, the two basic colors. Too bad they didn't have dark purple, mauve, or dark burgundy. I would have bought those colors too. The elastic on the top is a little bit tight, but still ok. I am Chinese, but I think for Americans, they might be a little too small. Just a suggestion. It's the best leg warmer that I have.
