I looked and researched air purifiers for a couple weeks after our old one quit performing. I kept coming back to this Shark and bit the bullet and paid the $300 for it. After the first day of running it, I had zero regrets! It works perfectly! We have it in our living room which is off of our kitchen and we keep it on AUTO. When we’re cooking, the Shark will drop from 100 where our air was clean, the fan will kick up a notch or two, depending on how low the numbers went, and it really will clean the cooking orders out! We have allergies and this has helped a lot! We own a home that is over 100yrs old and I used to go around the house dusting all the time and I notice there’s barely any dust on my furniture. I also notice if I spray Febreze air freshener or fabric refresher that the Shark senses it and will kick on and suck my air freshener out. lol I love Scentsy and their wax melts so when I use the one that is closest to the Shark I will just turn the air purifier off for a while because it will sense it and drop to yellow or even red and kick the fans on and clean the nice smell right out of the living room where I have that one sitting. Not complaining, but sometimes I like to smell my Scentsy! Also, there’s different speeds that the fan will run on and even on the highest speed it’s not loud at all. My house has never smelled so clean. We have two 70lb boxers and it has helped tremendously with having pets. When I’m gone for hours and come home, I notice that I don’t smell any signs of owning a dog when I walk into the house and my husband said the same thing when he came home from work the first night we owned it. There’s a light up ring around the numbers on the front that will be green when it’s clean, turn yellow when it’s getting bad and turn red when it’s really bad. We leave ours on AUTO so we don’t have to do anything, the Shark does the air cleaning for us. The never change filter is huge plus! Those filters can be so expensive so it’s nice that we don’t have that expense a couple times a year! The only thing that I’d say would be a “con”, if you want to call it that, and we honestly don’t even care about it, is that air freshener thing on top of the machine. We have never smelled anything come from that and I doubt we will buy new replacement neutralizer cartridges for it. I don’t see the point of it. I don’t see, or smell rather, where it does anything. I hope I covered everything and my review helped you make a decision on your purchase. I’m just an ordinary person with pets and an older home that PAID $300 for this machine and did not receive it for free to write a review like others do with stuff. My review is just our honest opinion that I wanted to share because we like it so much. It works GREAT! Better than any air purifier that we have owned in 30yrs. We sat the empty box in the office and thought we would hold on to it for the 30 days that we have to return something to Amazon just in case we didn’t like it but we threw it away the first week we used it. This thing is like a guard over your air quality. If it detects any particulates in the air, it kicks on automatically and runs until the air is clean. It's digital display shows what your air quality is. It's not nearly as noisy as other air filters I've had despite being twice their size. It kicks on within seconds of me lighting a cigar. It does such a good job that after my pending home addition, I will definitely buy at least 1 more. One for the new larger kitchen and one for the man cave. Read more

My daughter has 2 cats with very concentrated urine. We have tried everything to include special litter, flowing water, auto litter box. Even though these all helped, it wasn't until I finally purchased this item for my large living area where the box was at that I know longer smelt anything. I might get and occasional whiff of something but it quickly vanishes. Also, fish smell - GONE. It does have a nice HEPPA filter so helps with allergies. I like it can sense the air quality and adjust the fan to increase the intake until it is clear. Great job overall. It works and does what it's supposed to, I can definitely tell a difference in the air quality. It worked great for the first month or so but then started to get a red ring and stop working which means I have to clean the sensor and it'll start working again. This normally wouldn't be much of an issue but it happens at least every day to every other day which can be annoying; sometimes I have to do it more than once in a day. Read more

Great item. Another innovative product from Shark that is both well designed and functions beyond expectation. It is whisper quiet until there is enough particulate in the air for the filter to work a little harder to purify the air. It also puts out an optional scent which is a pleasant feature. Will update in a few weeks but initial thought: Very light weight and small (in a good way) Easy to set up- took less than 5 minutes. Quiet- can’t even hear it The freshener pack smells great Purchases after my best friend suggested it because she noticed a difference in days. Overall impressed so far.
