These are my favorite pens, ever. I used to completely, 100% prefer ballpoints, but since I found these Sharpie S-gels, I have been converted to gels. The biggest reason I like these far better is two-fold. First of all, they write SO smoothly, I just love the way they glide across the page! And even more importantly, the tip is 0.38 points, which is even finer than the 0.5 I usually get, and that makes them perfect! I have always been a 'fine' point gal, preferring the 0.5 over the 1.0 and even over the 0.7, but since I found the 0.38, I have been spoiled, and I will never go back. I absolutely love these Sharpie S-Gel pens overall, but the 0.38mm ultra fine point is definitely thinner than I anticipated. Line width expectations: I tried the 0.7mm S-Gel pens previously and found them a little too thick, so I assumed these 0.38mm would split the difference. However, the line is much thinner than I expected - noticeably finer than a typical medium point pen. If you're used to standard ballpoint pens, this will feel quite delicate. Comfort & grip: The grip is comfortable and feels good in hand, even during extended writing sessions. The rubberized grip area provides good control without being too bulky. Performance: Despite the thin line, the pen writes smoothly with no skipping. The gel ink doesn't appear to bleed through paper, which is impressive for such a fine point. I also haven't had any issues with smearing, even as a left-handed writer (or if you tend to drag your hand across fresh writing). Value for money: The pack comes with 4 pens, which is nice for having backups.
