For the past few years, I have ditches the disposable shavers and shaving creams that are popular today. Nothing beats a traditional shave with a quality straight razor or double edged safety razor. The problem with traditional shaving is when you travel. I can fill a travel bag quickly. This kit solved that issue for me. The kit comes with a collapsible soap lathering bowl, a Badger Brush and a tube to keep the badger bristles protected. It takes up very little space in the travel bag. It is easy to clean and dry and the brush tube keeps the badger brush from getting everything wet. This kit does not contain a high quality badger brush but it is intended for travel. I would rather use a moderate quality brush for the road and keep my high quality brush at home. That being said, for the price, this a a very good travel kit. The bowl lathers very nice into a pillowy cream for shaving. It actually makes a better cream than some of my more expensive lather bowls. I would not hesitate buying this kit for travel purposes. This kit has a lather brush, a nice little case for it and a collapsable lather bowl. This is a very small ensemble and fits in a variety of luggage configurations which is pretty awesome for anyone who likes that kind of a shave. The bristles on the brush are soft enough. I'm sorry to say, but I'm really not impressed with this. It feels like something I'd buy at the dollar store (in other words, it's not a good value for the money). Part of it is that it's super light weight, which I can understand as far as making it easy for travelers, but still, if it were light weight and good quality, that would be one thing. Because of that, I feel like this is going to break very quickly, and I can't imagine using it for more than a couple of months. One good thing about it is that the brush dries easily, as does the bowl. That makes it easy to use for a skin care routine, and then quickly put it away. Finally, the brush smells like plastic. Maybe you don't care about that kind of thing, but hey, the brush spends a lot of time near my nose, so I think that's pretty relevant. Read more
The LIGOFLORA Shaving Brush Set for Men is even better than I expected. The bristles on the brush are soft and work up a very nice lather. The brush retained water well and was very easy to clean. None of the bristles fell out while using. I really liked the container for storing the brush which makes it so much easier to put away, even if it is wet. It is perfect for travel. The silicone bowl was east to fold up for storage and worked up a great lather. I think one of the best features of this shave set is the price. It is a great value for the money. Read more
This set is fantastic for travel. Each item is well-made, the bristles on the brush are nice and soft, and they don't fall out easily. The bowl is collapsible and made of a nice material that's comfortable to hold, and the brush sits nicely inside its own little carrying case, enabling for easy storage in a suitcase or carryon bag for travel. The collapsibility of the bowl is easy to manoeuver, making for compact storability, and won't take up a bunch of room in your luggage. Everything is easy to clean after use.
