Being a relatively hairy man and liking to be clean shaven, Santa brought me a lot of different razors this year. However, I didn't receive a razor like this one, so I decided to order one and give it a try...and I'm so glad I did! First, you receive the razor, a USB-A to USB-C charging cable, a small bottle of razor oil, a cleaning brush, three different sized guards, and a set of instructions. When charging the razor, the light ring around the power button will glow red. When the razor has finished charging, the light ring will glow white, just like when the razor is on (which is shown in my second picture). Second, my favorite part of this razor are the double cutting heads. When you're shaving around VERY sensitive areas, sometimes you have to come in at odd angles to avoid hurting yourself. The dual-sided razor heads helps to make that much easier and safer! Also, the razor heads are very smooth, so you can freely shave with or without the guards and not worry about cutting or scratching your skin. I decided to test this out around one of the most sensitive areas of a man. I'm happy to report that the razor did not scratch my skin at all and there was very little pulling of the hair! Honestly, I only felt two small tugs, which didn't hurt at all and were barely noticeable. Also, as I mentioned before, the dual cutting heads made it much easier to get around areas that I didn't want the razor to touch at all. However, I would definitely recommend using one of the included guards if you plan to shave THE sensitive area... Please do your research about waterproof ratings. IPX6 is sufficient for being used in a shower, but cannot be submerged. It also isn't meant for hot steam or prolonged moist conditions. This shaver needs to be stored outside of the shower and allowed to dry out between uses. Definitely don't plug it in to be charged until fully dry because the USB-C plug has no protection against water and will short circuit your charger. The ergonomics of the shaver feels good. It balances well in the hand. The power button location on the underside takes a bit to get used to as it's opposite of every other trimmer I've used, but it doesn't affect operation. I really like the dual head design. Pulling feels more natural than pushing. It allows following face grain without wierd arm contortions. The motor isn't quiet, but I would rate as average noise for this price point. The guards are easy to install and remove. I have a similar complaint for all trimmers with guards, wherr am I supposed to store them? The box isn't convient for continued use and there's no storage box or bag, so it means minding where several small pieces are or else your trimmer loses function. The shaver is not powerful. I found that it took more than one pass to remove all the hair from the back of my hand, which is my default test for everything sharp, whether it's a trimmer, kitchen knife, or axe. The bare shaver did take the hair down to the skin, but it was still visually there. So this will definitely leave a 5-o'clock shadow on hair-dense areas. The guards do nothing but loft the blades a set distance away from the skin. Fine for frequent maintence but if you are trying to trim longer hair, it acts more like a comb and lays the hair down rather than lifts for cutting. I remove a star from my rating for the guards difficulty in removing hair from my body. The longest guard being 5mm leaves very short hair. For my body, it's equivalent to one week stubble rather than a beard. You definitely need the right type of hair folicals to have a good lookin beard that is this closely shorn. At the time of writing this, the photos of men with manicured beards in the product photos all have beards longer than 5mm so the product listing is misleading as to what the shaver will do. I'm too much a sasquatch to remove body hair, but I do need bandages from time to time. Probably has something to do with keeping felling axes razor sharp. Those super adhesive waterproof bandages that do a great job sealing a wound so you can get back to work are also painful to remove from body hair. Here's where my favorite use of this shaver comes in; it's fast and easy to remove hair around a wound that will become a problem for bandage changes and with IPX6 rating, I can wash and disinfect the shaver for future use. No, I would never buy this as a beard trimmer, but it's a good addition to my medicine cabinet for wound management and the price is reasonable for the occasional use that this will receive. I really liked this SHAVX Men & Womens Body Shaver. It is super lightweight yet shaped so that it is easy to hold on to without dropping it in soapy situations. It charged really quickly and hasn't run out of steam yet, so works well for extended use. It is quiet, no harsh buzzing. The razor head is double sided and the entire head floats a bit to adapt easily to curves and crevices. I especially liked that there were no sharp or pointy edges anywhere at all. If you find yourself shaving areas that you can't see well it is impossible to scrape or poke yourself no matter how awkward you feel. You can clip in any direction or in creases and crevices and know you are not going to poke or scrape anything. The clip on combs were a bit awkward to use- they are not the finest feature here. But once you fiddle with them a bit they will stay on and clip as advertised. But for me the star feature was the blade alone shave- it was close, safe, comfortable, easy, and clean up is a breeze. Just rinse the whole thing under water- even soapy water if need be. Just be sure to dry and oil with the included oil so the blade can last for a long life of easy shaving.
