The media could not be loaded. Up for review is a can of Sheer Revival "Wonder" cream shampoo for men and women. This is a relatively small, 3.4 oz size unit in a compact, round, metal canister. It is advertised as being vegan and color safe, among other things. I do not know a whole lot about the standards for premium shampoos as far as their composition goes, but some interesting items in the ingredients list include "Coffea Arabica Seed Extract," citrus peel as well as limonene (which is a natural solvent derived from citrus), and alcohol. A quick comparison with some of the shampoos I generally use suggests this is a shorter ingredients list than is usual, which is interesting. The first thing that hit me when I opened it up was the smell. It's a very pleasant, natural smell that doesn't remind me at all of soap or cleaning products. It does not have a perfume-like smell, and instead rather earthy and a little bit herbal in nature. It's not an overpowering scent at all. Mint seems to be the most prominent component of what I'm smelling, along with something earthy that might be vanilla, but honestly suggests mint-chip ice cream to me. I really do like it, whatever it is. It doesn't leave a strong smell on your hair after using it, you just smell clean. It doesn't have an overly "feminine" or "masculine" quality to it. The shampoo looks almost like a pomade when you open the can, but when you touch it, it's very smooth and turns into a smooth paste when you rub it between your fingers. Now I am male, and do while I do have a full head of hair, it's not a tremendous lion's mane or anything like that. The first time I tried this stuff, I put about a thimble-full of the shampoo in my hand, rubbed it around, then applied to my wet mop, and I was amazed at how much coverage this stuff has. I didn't need nearly that much of it. The second time I used about a dime-sized portion and it fully coated my hair easily. The lather has a weight to it when applied that really feels easy to work into my hair. This is different than other premium shampoos I've used in the past which often struggle to develop lather and are hard to work in. It's not a super foamy mass like most shampoo, but more viscous and smooth. It rinses out extremely clean leaving no impression of a residue. Very nice stuff to use. So I really do like this shampoo a lot and I don't have much to complain about other than considerations of value. If you really want a better quality of life in the shower washing your hair, this stuff is absolutely more pleasant to use than the usual grocery store shampoo fare, and my hair feels cleaner and less "heavy" after use. A little goes a long way, so even though it's only 3.4 oz, you can get more use out of it than you'd expect. That being said, I think I'd have a hard time making a case for it at this price. Price aside, though, it's very nice shampoo to use. Read more
Convenient for travel, smells and work great. Read more
This is a pretty convenient package for shampoo -- obviously all solid, scoops easy, and it suds okay. The scent is pleasant to me, but I do think it's a little stronger than it should be, and the container doesn't seal the scent -- I could smell it even within the packaging it was delivered it. It's also not CG approved though, so be warned re: that (but I wasn't expecting that for a travel shampoo). I think it's a good option for travel or the gym, but not for everyday use. I worry about it stripping the oils in my hair. Read more
I’ve realized that my hair isn’t just going to "take care of itself" anymore. I’ve spent years grabbing whatever generic bottle was on sale at the grocery store, but lately, my scalp has been acting like a grumpy teenager—dry, itchy, and just generally annoyed. I decided to level up and try the Shear Revival Wonder Shampoo, and honestly, I’m kicking myself for not doing this sooner. The First Impression The Size: This is a 3.4 oz bottle. If you’re used to those massive jugs with the pump, this might look small, but don't let that fool you. It’s concentrated. The Vibe: Since I’m pretty picky about what I put on my skin (I steer clear of the artificial "chemical cocktail" stuff), seeing a label that’s Sulfate-free, Paraben-free, and Vegan was a huge win. Why It Actually Works The "All-in-One" Clean: It claims to cleanse and condition simultaneously. Usually, "2-in-1" products leave my hair feeling like straw or like I dipped my head in grease. This is different. It actually leaves my hair feeling soft but clean. Scalp Health: My scalp feels significantly less "tight" after a shower. It feels like it's actually being treated rather than just stripped of every natural oil I have left. The Scent: This is the kicker. It’s got notes of Tangerine, Vanilla, and Mint. It doesn’t smell like a middle school locker room or a fake "Ocean Breeze." It smells like a high-end spa, but in a subtle, masculine-enough way. It’s incredibly refreshing in the morning. Final Verdict If you’re a guy (or anyone, really) who is tired of itchy scalps and ingredients you can't pronounce, this is worth the spend. It fits my preference for all-natural ingredients perfectly—no artificial colors or preservatives here. It’s a bit of a "luxury" compared to the cheap stuff, but in my 40's, I think I’ve earned the right to have hair that doesn't look like a bird's nest. Read more

I like the concept of this shampoo a lot, especially the metal container and the plastic-free packaging. It feels similar to using a bar shampoo, and I’ve found that if you want more lather, you need to add more water rather than more product. It doesn’t lather as much as my regular bar shampoo, but that hasn’t been an issue for me. It still lathers plenty. I’ve used it a few times now, and it’s worked well. It cleans my long hair thoroughly and leaves it feeling soft, not stripped or dry. Honestly, I don’t notice much of a difference between this and my bar shampoo, which makes sense since the ingredients seem quite similar. You can smell the mint while you’re using it, but the scent doesn’t really linger in your hair afterward. That could be a downside for some people and a plus for others. Overall, I appreciate the natural ingredients, the simple formula, and the plastic-free metal container, and I’m happy with how it performs. Read more
