I bought this on prime day because it was on sale, and was a little nervous as to whether it’d suit my needs or not. Finally wore it this weekend, I can say it’s great in hot weather, plenty of ventilation (I’m in FL, but will not ride without full gear). I am very happy with it so far and the pads that come with it seem to be good quality as well! Read more

Fit is perfect. Size large. I’m 5’9” 160lbs. Might want to size up one for the back protector takes up some room. It’s November in California and I’m still wearing it with out a liner. Just a long sleeve shirt. It breaths well and zippers are designed right. Can zip up and down while riding. Has arm pit zipper vents for air flow. The front zipper has two options. One is a vent and the other is closed. So ideal for a broader range of temps. Read more

Sick jacket! It feels a lot more sturdy and protective than it looks in pictures. I sized up to a large so I can fit a hoodie underneath when it gets chilly but it feels good with a regular shirt under as well. The only thing is that the red isn't as bright as shown in pictures. My bike is black with bright red so it doesn't match perfectly but that's just me being picky. Read more

The sizing chart was pretty accurate. I did a 3XL and it fits well. It's not a "tall" sizing though. The protection feels in place, and well sized. And it is a lot lighter than a typical motorcycle textile jacket. Should be great for BMX/E-scooters/E-bikes. Surprised to see it has the tail zip so you can attach to riding pants if you have those. Very good. Read more

The Shima Drift jacket is not all it is cracked up to be. Some have said it is so light that you can't even tell that you're wearing a jacket...that is not true. It is not a light weight mesh material like you would expect reading these reviews. The body of the jacket is a textile much like any other motorcycle jacket. It does have vents but they are very small and do little good when it is hot out. It's OK in temperatures around 65 to 75 degrees. Anything other than that you might as well just remove the lining from you regular jacket. The design of the jacket is pretty good and it fits fairly well. The main selling point for me was that it came with an optional hood that could be removed. That is also not true even though it is shown in their pictures and video. Upon contacting the Shima Store I was informed that the jacket was never even produced for the US market with the hood. No offer to send me one or discount the jacket were made. For such a large company, that makes multiple pieces of motorcycle gear, this surprised me greatly. They don't seem to care about the customer or selling what they advertise. The jacket does come with shoulder, elbow, and a back pads. I will have to say the back pad is a serious joke. It is made of a hard plastic compound like you would get if it was 3D printed. Having something like that on your back is going to do more harm if you get in an accident than not having anything at all. On top of that it is segmented at the top and bottom with two hinge type portions. This makes it very uncomfortable to wear and it just isn't safe. All in all this jacket is not what is advertised and does not live up to the hype that is in these other reviews. It is an OK jacket if you just want something to throw on that isn't as thick as your Cortech or Alpine all weather jacket. But it is definitely not cheap and not what is advertised. A $163.68 jacket should give you a lot more than this one does. Read more
