I was a little skeptical but had been wanting a simple but effective shoe cleaner. I think it covers most or quite a few common types of shoes and you dont need much of the liquid. It smells surprisingly nice and lathers up very well. Plus the bristles are soft enough and do a good job. I accidentally got the wood handle part wet and a tiny area on both ends is peeling up a little but probably why its best to only wet the brush, but being close together/connected its easy to wet the whole thing. Is it magic? No it is not. But does it work well at removing dirt and grime? Definitely. This cleaner really shines on the midsoles and rubber parts of the shoe. That is where you can see the biggest difference, especially if your shoes tend to pick up scuffs or dark marks along the sides. It lifts off the grime easily and leaves the foam midsoles looking noticeably brighter. The cleaner itself has a water like consistency and runs through the brush quickly, so I found it works best to apply it directly to the shoes. I first dampened my shoes with a little bit of water, dripped the cleaner directly onto the surface, and then started scrubbing. That created a nice bubbly foam across the entire shoe that helped lift up dirt fast. Once I was done scrubbing, I rinsed them again with water until they were almost completely saturated, then dabbed them dry with a towel and left them out in the sun. I have been using this shoe cleaner for years. It does a great job. Although I do recommend, start with Dawn dish soap on the bottom of your shoe's (the outsole) and around then use the cleaner. It removes the oil first. Just put a little on the brush and add water to get it get foamy. You don't have to poor a bunch on. I also recommend staring gently and then seeing how the material your shoe is made out of takes to being scrubbed. Read more
