First let me say I feel adequately qualified to review this as I retired from the US Army and am very well aquatinted with polishing boots/shoes. I have a Kiwi Brand kit and directly compared the two. The large brush, applicator brush and polishing cloths are either identical or similar in make and effectiveness. This kit has more applicators and also two sponge types similar to what you see for sneakers and some polish containers. There is also a small buffing pad that fits over (three of my) the fingers that would work for touch ups although the polishing cloth works better overall. (A nylon footie works best) The wax is softer than Kiwi brand. In brush test it looks the same but if spit shining (water shining) the Kiwi wins. The overall luster of the shine however is great and looks nice. Where this would ‚shine‘ (pun intended)- I think since this polish is softer it would be a great polish for older leather. It filled in cracks well and allowed the leather to soak up polish without effecting the ability to stay shiny. The fact that the kit comes with black, brown and neutral polish, mink oil and several applicators and cloths make it great for multiple styles/ colors of shoes. Read more
