I wasn’t really sure what I’d do with this aside from inflate the occasional beach ball or air mattress but the price was right and it seemed interesting so I ordered it. Wow. I use it all the time! The array of attachments make this thing really really handy! Yes, it blows up each balls of course, and air matresses. FAST. For me, however, it’s the dusting. I have a Knick knack house lots of stuff on shelves. Taking them all down to dust them and the surface e they sit on would take hours each week. Now,I swap in one of the narrow high wind speed nozzles and dust items and surfaces FAST. And before you go all crazy on me for dusting this way I place my 2 air cleaning units in the room with me as I blow dust and they seem to capture at least 75% of the dust I’ve made airborne. Usually just my den, the rest of the house has less intricate stuff. battery life is decen, I wanna say it ran nonstop at the highest setting for 10-12 minutes. At that setting it sounds like a jet turbine…the little metal impellers might as well be… they’re going FAST. It’s built solid, it’s buttons are very smooth and speed slider is smartly inset. It comes together in a handy drawstring bag that holds it and its accessories together. It’s a great addition to my kit and I’m glad I have it. Read more
This thing is handier than I thought it would be. I initially got it in order to dust computers and electronics, but I found that another handy use for it is corralling cat hair from behind corners and under furniture in order to more thoroughly clean areas which you can't easily get to. Typically I don't need to use this thing set to more than about halfway, and even low power is ok for light dusting. I've used it quite a bit and only charged it once so far, so the battery life is decent. This thing does get noisy at high power, but it also moves a ton of air and has quite a bit of cleaning power at the highest setting. The unit seems to be well built and feels solid in your hand, though the USB-C port on the bottom is slightly crooked - but that doesn't affect functionality. This thing does seem a little expensive, but if you consider saving money from cans of compressed air over time it's likely cheaper over a year or two, depending on how much you go through those. The other uses I'm finding for it also make it valuable while not having to haul around a full size vacuum or air compressor. Read more
Item: Shop-Vac Electric Air Duster, 100000RPM Cordless Air Blower with Brushless Motor, Rechargeable and Variable Speed Dust Blower for Computer, Keyboard, House, Outdoor and Car Brand: Shop-Vac Model: 5430233 ASIN: B0FGPSLCS7 This is a very good option for a compact air blower. I have worked in IT for over 19 years and for most of that time the only real option for an electric blower to replace consumable canned air dusters was extremely overpriced. I typically would not have considered something like this could actually replace canned air until I tried one. I don't know who makes this model, but most of these small high-RPM blowers are amazingly powerful and this Shop-Vac is no different. I also like that it comes with some more useful attachments that some of the cheaper sets found on Amazon. The crevice tool and the brush attachment are actually useful for dusting out computers and electronics. The inflator tool has also come in handy at home, blowing up kids' inflatable toys without having to turn on my air compressor. The price at $31.19 (at time of writing) is higher than many of the options you'll find on Amazon, but not outrageous. You're basically paying extra for the brand name, I have not dealt with Shop-Vac customer service before but I feel slightly more optimistic that I can get help with parts or RMA if needed. And the attachments it comes with are more useful than the 3 no-name blowers I have used in the last year. Plus, this being Shop-Vac branded, I will assume this is probably meant to be sold retail where their vacuums are sold, so the price is what you'd probably expect to pay if you found this in a chain hardware store. 3.5 I wanted something small that I could keep in my utility room to blow out things like vacuum filters. This works okay—nothing like an air compressor. Wish it had a little more power Read more
I'm a BIG fan of this small shop vac. The variable speed slider is easy to use, and I'm genuinely impressed by how much airflow it puts out. I don't have a way of measuring it, so I doubt it is actually "100,000 RPM" as suggested in the item listing, but it's certainly fast, and powerful. USB-C charging is the way of the future, and I'm happy to see more products embrace it. I use this duster in my garage to quickly dust off debris from my workbench, and it works great for that purpose. I do like that it comes with a branded velvet bag with several different attachments. My favorite is the brush end attachment, which I can use for dusting out electronics, computer keyboards, and other more "delicate" devices. We'll see how battery life and durability pan out over time - I've charged it fully after receiving it, and am just using it occasionally as the need arises. I can't imagine it drains the battery too fast while not in use, so I'm expecting it to provide several weeks of battery life per-charge. Read more
