Don’t Waste Your Money on Expensive Head Shavers — SHPAVVER Is the Real Deal I purchased the SHPAVVER Head Shaver for Bald Men about two years ago, and it is still going strong. The battery life is solid, it shaves close and smooth, and it’s comfortable to use. Recently, I decided to “upgrade” and bought one of the higher-priced, premium head shavers thinking it would be noticeably better. Honestly, it wasn’t even close. The expensive model didn’t shave as well, wasn’t as comfortable, and certainly didn’t justify the extra cost. If you’re considering spending big money on a head shaver, don’t. Save your money. The SHPAVVER delivers excellent performance, reliability, and value at a fraction of the price. Sometimes cheaper really is better — and this is one of those times. Highly recommended. Read more
I absolutely am not an electric shaver guy. I have been shaving for about 45 years now. I have tried electric shavers in the past. I shaver my head so, I shave more than most. I actually like this shaver. No bumps, no burn just close shaved hair. Easy to clean and I love I can use it in the shower or on wet stubble. The battery lasts quite a while, more than I was expecting with as much shaving as I do. Only little gripe is i have to go over spots more than 1 time. But not a deal breaker for me. It is the best one I have used yet! Read more
This thing works great. Much quicker and easier to scrape the ol' dome down than a regular 3-blade rotary. I find myself using it on my face as well rather than my Norelco. No complaints about the cut. The only reason I'm dinging it down a star is the blade unit cannot be fully disassembled making cleaning the thing a pain in the neck. I'm used to shaver heads where the individual blade units can be removed and taken apart for full cleaning. This thing has to be shaken and rinsed until no visible hair remains, but it seems unlikely that it can ever be totally clean after the first use. Read more
I was about to order a new pitbull gold since mine wont hold charge anymore. Was keen to get one same day delivered and took the gamble with something new. Its ama, ing, cheaper and cuts in about 50% of the time. I cant attest to the durability, but performance is great out the box! Read more
I bought another body hair trimmer very similar to this one and it broke after 2 to 3 months. I took the front guard off of the old one and something very little bent and I could not put it back together again. This thing has lasted twice as long as my old one, and the battery lasts three times as long as the other one that I purchased. So far, absolutely loving it, and I would recommend it to my closest friend. I have ADHD and sometimes taking a shower feels overwhelming and this device’s ability to trim my body hair has been a game changer. You do need to take a little bit of time and go in circles, but it is still easier than taking a full everything shower. Read more
I recently decided to move to Bald shaving for my head while keeping my beard. This head shaver definitely gets the job done very closely to a razor without the pain. Before getting this razor I was using one that I had before that caused me a bit of pain and even left me with some bumps so I'm very happy to add this to my shaving kit. It comes with a nose trimmer and also a piece to do precision shaving as well as a sort of exfoliation brush and a charger. At first I was kind of care that I will break The shaver trying to remove the touch Man but it to States of little bit of pull, That's all. I can say that with confidence and using this nearly every morning that you won't be disappointed and the sale price that I received it at was pretty great too! Read more
Update (6/3/2025): Three weeks after I posted about my broken shaver, the device suddenly began to work again! I've been able to recharge the device many times since then with no problems. My advice is to avoid using this in the shower. Wet shaving should be fine since only the shave head would (and can) get wet. On a side note, the blade portion of the shave head cleans really well with isopropyl alcohol. I turn it open side down in the sink, then pour some iso over it. Fine hair shavings flow away easily, and then I rinse it all with warm water. Good as new! Update (1/22/25): Unfortunately the shaver got moisture inside and no longer functions. I can turn it on and see the display, but the motor is dead. I pried off the front panel and saw a lot of trapped moisture behind the screen. I'll try drying it off for a few more days, but I'm pretty sure this thing is cooked. It worked fine until last week (see update below) when I used it in the shower a few times. tl;dr I don't think this unit is as waterproof as the description mentions :( Update (1/15/25): Still working like a champ. I'm still using the original blades. I've usually dry-shave my head and occasionally my beard with no problems. Tried wet shaving for the first time tonight and WOW, worked like a dream. I shaved in the shower and used Cremo brand shaving cream. I cut my repeat passes down to 1/4 the usual and got a slightly closer shave, too. The beard trimmer with guard clip does a fantastic job trimming my eyebrows. It's also great for line jobs around the temples and sideburns (for my teenager who still has hair, hah!). Very happy with this shaver after nearly 2 years of frequent use. Definitely recommend this one for anyone looking for a complete, effective shaving kit at a reasonable price. Blown away by how well this head shaver gently mowed through my ~2-3mm head hair stubble in mere minutes, all right out of the box. I don't feel inclined to fuss over a razor-perfect head shave, and I'd say this shaver got me 95% of the way there with less fuss, no snags, and very comfortably. I was able to shave around the tops and rear of my ears with no problem, as well as between the "hot dog" folds above my neck just fine (if you know, you know). The only other accessory I tried was the nose hair trimmer which worked as intended. By that I mean it doesn't go all the way to the back of the nostrils for safety. I got enough cleared out in the front half with it, so my nose looks neater but also retains enough hair to do what nature intended (filter out dust, dander, etc.). The shaver came fully charged in a nice, compact set. I'll get around to using the exfoliation and trimmer accessories at some point, but I felt reviewing the shaver itself was more important. Ergonomically, the unit with shaver is light, easy to hold, and comfortable to control around my head. The power button is flush against the unit and you would have to really try to press it to accidentally turn it off while shaving. I appreciate the power lock function for traveling (hold Power for 3 seconds to lock the power button from stray activations), as well as the cleaning alerts (for rinsing the easy to detach magnetic shaving foil). Overall, I'm really happy I took a chance on buying this unit. My only wish would be for an inclusion of some sort of accessory case, but it's really not that big a deal. Great shaver! Read more
