These didn't feel quite like cotton, right out of the bag. They had that slinky feel and made a swishy sound like synthetic fabrics do. I would have sworn they were mostly synthetic until I checked the care tag and stood corrected. No wonder they didn't make me itchy! They are definitely thin; I wouldn't count on them to save my life in a snowstorm but they're fine for going to the gym or running errands (might need another layer underneath but there's plenty of room) and they'll be perfect for Spring, Summer, and Fall. I ordered my usual Large; I normally go by the hip measurement but these pants have a lot of ease. I would caution going by the waist measurement; with my 39" measurement, I shouldn't be able to wear any of them but the Large is perfect. There's enough room in the seat and thigh and plenty of extra length in the waistband. I realize that's not very helpful so I would say order by your 'normal' size. As to length, it depends on where you like your waistband. I'm 5'9" tall and I wear it at my actual waist and they reach the top of my foot . It's a nice blend of fibers that should hold up well in the wash. I like the pockets - always a fan of pockets - and while these will hold my iPhone 14 ProMax; I wouldn't do Jumping Jacks with it in a pocket but it should fine for normal use. These pants aren't made poorly but the fabric is a bit too thin which wouldn't be as big of an issue if the sizing was at least a bit more consistent. The large I bought before is larger than the large I got this time. The pockets are also insanely small and barely fit a normal sized phone in them. 5 star jogger-style pants with loose legs, not elastic. So comfy and lightweight. I love these pants and wore them all weekend when they first arrived. Made of a type of rip-top or windbreaker material but not super noisy while walking like some pants in this genre. Super easy to wash and dries super fast.
