This went from being something I wore to work when I wanted to look a little bit nicer but needed to keep warm to being something that I wear almost every day and even will put over myself at home like a blanket when it is cold because it is SO comfortable and cozy. I normally don't like hoods because they make me feel claustrophobic, but when I see it start to rain I pull this one up and its over-sized hood covers my whole head while still giving me space to look around. The big pockets are great for putting my personal AND work phones in while I am out and about and if needed keys, wallets, and everything else I need for the afternoon. I work as a social worker with crisis and highly acute clients in the field so I am out and about in some serious/dangerous circumstances in a wide variety of weather conditions. This is what I wear to both look professional enough that people recognize that I work with mental health but not scary like I am a cop or a DA prosecutor so clients are comfortable. It is also what keeps me at the correct temperature. If it is warmer I leave the front open, when it gets colder I fold the front around myself doubling it up. Oh and the color is neutral gray - not one with hidden blue or other tones in which can happen with grays you wear them so it matches almost everything. I am going to buy one in green now also. The only reason I didn't give it a 5... and I still think maybe I should, ah heck I am going to... Is that it is pilling a bit faster than I would have liked. I have been wearing it only a year and looks a little shabby, but then again I wear clothes hard and I live in a climate where I wear it 8-9 months of the year. It is fixable also, just needs a quick de-piling. The temperatures where I live are 35f/0c - 65f/18c year round. As far as size, I bought a XXL and I am 5'7", carry most of my weight around my middle, and when I bought it I was a size 20W and it was plenty big enough with extra room. Now I am a size 16 and it is huge. It is extra long which I like and sometimes when I am reaching in my pocket it just goes lower and lower and lowers and I have to grab it and pull them up to me because of how long it is but again, I like long things.
