I am very happy with and highly recommend it. I have tried several different methods to trim my dogs nails but nothing worked. She would struggle and even bite whenever I tried and it was so bad I had given up. I was having to take her to a groomer or to my vet just to trim her nails and when you are on a fixed income that gets pretty expensive. This works fantastic. Very quiet and fast. It’s a good little Dremel and it gets the job done. It is quieter than others that I’ve used and definitely less vibration which causes my dog to be less anxious. It’s not completely quiet and especially when you touch the nail. It still makes noise but it’s so much better. My dog has more tolerance during her nail trims now. Read more

2 of my dogs won't go near it. 1 has to be held, but still isn't thrilled with the sound or vibration and the 4th will tolerate it only for a short time. We are still trying but I don't have high hopes of it off setting the groomer bill. The product is much quieter then normal grinders but still has that vibration and takes too long to shorten a nail which then makes the dog squirm more. Read more

The motor is truly quiet. However, when grinding my dogs nails it is loud. It does what it claims, but doesn’t mean it was useful for my dogs. My dogs are medium to large dogs. The space for the nails to get to the grinding wheel is a bit too small for them. I don’t feel it grinds any better than other brands or is any more powerful. I was hoping for a faster grinding experience for my dogs. It’s better to cut their nails and use the devices to round the edges smooth. It works fine for small dogs and I want to try on my cats, so maybe it will be a treasure. 12-28-25 update I did realize after my earlier post, for larger nails to use the top. I find it weird, since it has a step on the top of the grinder, but I should have paid more attention. I tried it on one of my cats. She really fought me and cried, so I stopped to reassess. I decided to try it on my nails to see how it felt. It has a strong vibration on my nail and I can’t imagine my pets liking it. I am not totally giving up, but will only use to smooth after cutting their nails and for short periods. They already hate having their nails done so a mixture of the two might just shorten the job.
