I was concerned that these might be too plastic-y but material is supple and soft. Less like soccer shorts more like running shorts. Minus one star because I didn't like the swimsuit liner but I cut it out and now much better. I ordered size large and they fit well. Roomy enough and provide good range of motion, but if you prefer a little bit baggy shorts, probably order a size larger. In all very happy with them, especially for the price. Read more

These 5-inch running shorts fit great. I’m a true medium, and they fit me well, even with a little extra weight I’ve recently put on. The fabric feels smooth, lightweight, and dries quickly. They’re comfortable and easy to wear for workouts or everyday activity. The elastic waistband fits well, and the drawstring is nice and thick, making it easy to tie and just as easy to untie. That’s a big plus compared to the thin drawstrings on a lot of shorts that get stuck once you knot them. The only thing I’m not crazy about is the zipper pockets. I have ordered these running shorts in the past. They are good running shorts but the zippers on all pairs broke down within weeks. I still use the pockets because the broken zippers will hold in the middle. I recently ordered a new 3 pack that came with only one pair had the tags, one pair had the zippers already broken. I returned the defected pairs, received the credit and will try again with a new order. I run/power walk every day and of my original pairs only one has a small tear in the liner after over a year so these shorts work for me considering the price. Read more

Lightweight, and breathable, extremely comfortable. I bought a first batch, then bought a second batch. I wanted to try them out, I bought them to jog in. First thing that surprised me was the the pockets are perfect sized for my phone. The zippers on the pockets work great. Also, it said they were hand wash only, after washing them in the laundry machine in cold water, and drying on low heat, I noticed no change to the material or fit, and no damage to the shorts. I would consider myself an avid athlete as I run or gym 5x a week and partake in my share of races. These shorts are the only ones I own! I have placed a few orders over the last several months all great. Fit is perfect and price can’t be beat. Has zipper pocket but you don’t feel it as you move. 2022-04-04 Update Raising to 4 (from 3) stars. After a few outings the chafing issues went away. That or I'm getting tougher...nah, it's probably the shorts. Can consistently run 5-7 miles without issue now. If you're buying these be ready for a (likely celibate) "break in" period of 2-3 runs for each pair. Of the 3 pairs 1 zipper out of 6 total has failed. Disappointing but not worth a star given the price. Maybe I needed to be more gentle with them. Something to watch out for. Customer feedback: sew a small, zippered pocket in the back of the shorts for e.g. credit cards. This would be great value, even if it means removing one side pocket zipper or increasing price a bit. Original Review TL/DR: If/when the manufacturer addresses the liner issue (see below) these will be winners (5 stars). Until then, look elsewhere if you actually want to run more than a mile or two in these shorts. If you are buying these shorts for walking, working out, or to look like you run go for it. However, these are NOT good shorts to run in. They suffer from 2 flaws, one major and one minor. We'll start with 5 stars. -2 stars for the major issue of an unsuitable liner. It is like a bathing suit liner with thin rope-like threads and large gaps/holes. For me, this surface becomes ABRASIVE after 3-4 miles. As a result, these shorts are NOT SUITABE FOR RUNNING. On the plus side, this seems like an easy fix and I hope the manufacturer corrects it. They will have a winning product if they do and I will happily revise this review (and buy more). -1 star for the minor issue of the plastic around the zippers constantly getting in the zippers and jamming them up. The fix here would seem to be another row of stitching in the affected areas to keep the loose plastic in line. However, this is minor and these could be still 5-star shorts without fixing this because... +1 star for being crazy affordable. With a pair of Nike running shorts at $20 on a good day these are super inexpensive. Props to the manufacturers for the price point! Summary: If/when the manufacturers can address the liner issue these will be winners. Until then, look elsewhere if you actually want to run anything over a few miles in these shorts. Read more
