The lid screws on tightly, it does not leak, as well as the part where you drink from, it does twist, and it is also leak proof, it is easy to clean with a bottle brush. I love the design on it, and it also comes with stickers so you can add to your bottle too, that is a bonus! It comes with a carrying handle so you can carry it, it is also made very sturdy. Update!! Silver Buffalo made things right! I reached out to their customer service team and explained the issue. In the meantime I did go ahead and reorder the same water bottle because my son adored it. I ALSO ordered the other pokemon one for him as an apology on my behalf. Those came in and he is thrilled. Silver Buffalo offered to send me a direct replacement for the damaged water bottle.
