They are made of a high quality material that to me looks a lot like Neoprene so expect waterproof, light weight comfortably fitting gloves that have flex and give for easy fit and great grip. They are not too thick or too thin they are just right to keep the hands of my 10 year old dry and warm and most importantly easy of use since getting fingers into gloves when it's cold can be a challenge. These things really keep my hands, warm, however, along the sides of the fingers is just thin material and so the sides of my fingers still get cold. So while they are way better than no gloves! Fit is versatile. Fits my 5 year old son, whom they were intended for. They also fit my 7 year old and 9 year old sons. Heck, they even fit me (I'm a smaller woman.) I tested the touch screen functionality when I tried them on and it works too. But I bought these gloves mainly for one reason- they said they are waterproof. But they are NOT water‐proof, like they claim to be. I bought these in anticipation for the ice storm. We only get snow/ice every 3 years or so where we live so we didn't have any gloves. The main reason I purchased these was because they said water proof. My 5 year old had to come in frequently from playing in the ice and snow because his gloves were wet and his fingers were freezing. My other kids, who all had different gloves, got to spend a lot more time playing than he did. Read more
